Studio on the Square

The location is great, right in the city, easy access to everything. The apartment building is quiet (with thin walls though) and clean overall. The host is great and she responded to concerns on wifi connection promptly as well stay extensions. The apartment was cozy and there was complementary coffee and a tiny coffee machine. Fresh towels and sheets as well as soaps for the bathroom. There was also a vase for flower purchases. The host left an instruction manual for house appliances, wifi and tv as well as a recommendation on activities to do while in Cape Town.

The cleaning service was not the best, reasonable, but not up to my standards. Would have preferred a more thorough clean of the fridge, dishes and other items in the kitchen before arrival but it was honestly not too bad, ended up cleaning to standard and settled in quite well after that. There is no plug or night stands next to the bed but it was really not too bad. The outside of the building is not the safest (typical of city center) and Ubers can't drop you at the entrance but that is out of the control of the host.

We loved the lights just above the bed (perfect for me as a reader and my fiance who isn't so I don't bother him while I read), the big shower with the shower gel and shampoo and also the fully equipped kitchen with the large fridge.

Clean and bright. Very close to all amenities and the conference centre.

Because it was on a walking street, carrying luggage alone from the uber was a bit challenging even though it was less than 5 minutes. Additionally leaving in the middle of the night and waiting for my uber away from the apt was also a bit of a concern, although everything was completely fine.

Everything, they made a video clip to show exactly where the place is. Caring and a peace of mind to runners doing 2oceans

It can get a bit noisy and as soon as you step out of the flat there is a stench of urine outside. I guess it’s CBD
