Maison Chanel, Bologna By Short Holidays

We have been to Bologna several times before and are quite familiar with the city. However, this was our first stay in this apartment. We stayed for four nights. The location is great, just about ten minutes walk to the station or the Piazza Magiore. There are some good bars and restaurants right on the doorstep. Check in was easy. On arrival, we just had to make a call to an automated phone number which opened the door to the street for us. The keys to the apartment were in a lock box attached to the gate by the front door. Useful to realise that the apartment is up one flight of stairs, which in my book is the 1st floor. All the information we were given refers to it being on the 2nd. The apartment is well equipped and has just about everything one would need. All clean, tidy and stylishly functional. The bed is very comfortable. We would consider staying there in the efuture.

Not a criticism, but important to note that the apartment is located above some lively restaurants and bars. The Wednesday night was a bit noisy into the early hours!

The air conditioning is broken and does not cool. The apartment reached 31 degrees inside which made it unbearable and we had to leave the apartment that same afternoon
