Auntie Katie's house

The host was great, since no one was coming on the day of departure they let us stay a few hours longer and also lent us their sun umbrella! The town is really calm and rural, no tourists at all. The area is wild and beautiful. Thank you!

Очень уютные апартаменты, красивые, все необходимое есть. Очень милая деревня на холме. Удобно, если вы на машине передвигаетесь по острову, милая таверна на главной площади. В номере жесткие матрасы, но это не было проблемой, настольные игры, все необходимое для проживания, включая влажные салфетки, прокладки, ушные палочки и пакетики, приправы, соль есть (сахар мы купили - тоже есть), приятные мелочи, можно было обходиться без кондиционера, т.к. окна выходят на обе стороны, потрясающий вид из гостиной, удобная кухня. Душевая - немного шокирует сначала душ на пол, но уже на следующий день привыкаешь. Магазин в деревне в целом удовлетворяет все потребности, но в дальнейшем мы закупались в более крупных магазинах. Вкусная и недорогая таверна на главной площади. Есть и другие кафе рядом. Хозяин замечательный - помогал и в бытовых вопросах и советовал лучшие места для посещения. Вай-фай без нареканий. Большая парковка под главной площадью - всегда было хотя бы одно местечко.

из крана в ванной вода брызгает на тебя, пока моешь руки. С учетом быстрого привыкания к расположению душа это единственное замечание. и для любителей черного чая! - лучше берите его с собой, на острове с ним плохо. А так приятно поразило, что в апартаментах все для кофе есть.

Where to start? First of all, the village of Giannades is vibrant and cute. The apartment is great, it's spacious, clean and has everything you might need, with a beautiful view. The beds are very comfortable. Yes the bathroom is small, but once you get used to it, it feels like an advantage because you do everything - use the toilet, wash your teeth and shower all at once without making a step :) Auntie Katie even surprised us with an amazing lunch, we really felt very welcome. As a bonus, on the day we came, there was a concert at the village square with lots of cheerful people, great food and music. It was like a welcome party.

Quiet authentic neighbourhood, placed on a top of the hill and the wind was so nice also in July , groceries shop across the street I felt safe being my my own and had privacy , I had all what I need in the apartment !

Auntie Katies place is a real gem, close to everything you might want, very nicely decorated, comfortable beds and Spiros is a fantastic host!

It is better than it looks in the photos! The house is located in the beautiful village of Giannades in Corfu, which is well located to the best beaches of the island. The village is old and the location exposses you to some of the old typical houses of the area. Spiros, the host, was very kind and helpful. The house was very comfy for me and my parents, there were AC in each room and everything was very clean. Kitchen was very well equipped in case we wanted to cook and eat any meals there. The village was lovely for spending the evennings. There were bars, restaurants and a bakery located in the center. The hosts were supportive all the time. A great deal for the price! Highly recommend!
