VILLA AIDA LAKE VIEW

The apartment is just 10 minutes on foot from the Ponte Tresa train station. It has a good lake view and is also very close to the centre. The rooms are spacious and clean, the kitchen has the necessary equipment if you want do do self-catering. One word of advice: If you find more than one set of keys, make sure to pick the correct one. If in ANY doubt: contact the host and ask (replies via booking messages usually are quick).

The location is good, but with open windows the traffic from the main road is quite noticeable. There is a very nice and spacious balcony, but no table or chairs to enjoy it, for example for eating your self-cooked dinner on the balcony.

The view from the apartment was exceptional. It was spacious and very central. It was easily accessible for swimming in the lake with many opportunities, some locations with no one there, others were more popular, but even then, not many people. It is on the border with Switzerland, so although we did visit some places in Italy, we seemed to spend the majority of our time there. The communication with the host was great - if we had any problems or questions, she responded promptly. Many thanks Ana!

The apartment is situated between two roads and next to a car park, so was noisy, especially at night. The kitchen needed more utensils etc (and a dustpan and brush...) and maybe a sofa as there was no central place to relax together (although there is a table and chairs). However, these negatives did not spoil our holiday!

Beautiful view over the lake and close to good restaurants.

The place is in the process of being renovated and not finished and we were not informed before or after we booked. Very sparsely furnished; workers arrived, without prior warning by owners, to fix hot water heater; noisy; limited communication from hosts.
