The location is excellent next to Chapultepec park and its many attractions. The Condesa neighborhood is great with many restaurants and is safe to explore. The bed was super confortable and the WIFI worked well. The place is quiet depending on the other people staying. They were kind to store the luggage after checkout.

The door to the room was not very secure but it still felt safe with cameras all over the public areas. I understood there was a fridge inside the room but this is in a public area. The hot water in the shower is impossible to work, it is too hot or cold. I would suggest a demonstration of how to work it if they indicate it is possible, and ask to adjust the flame to a lower setting. The light inside the room was not great.

There was no Aircon in the room, which was disappointing for a place like Mexico where it is quite hot.

"Helpful hosts and a great location! I’d stay again."

7.0

I stayed in the Licha room as a solo traveler for 5 nights. - The hosts were so helpful, communicative, and accommodating! It really made a difference for me as a solo traveler. They communicate via whatsapp and sent over recommendations for places to eat and how to get around. - They also offered luggage storage. - The photos were accurate and true to IRL. - They included a welcome bottle of wine and 2 wine glasses (I didn’t drink it, but I thought it was a lovely touch). - The location is great! Walking distance to the museums, the park, and places to eat. - The towel warmer in the bathroom is a nice touch. - The blackout curtains work well. - The extra umbrellas in the lobby. - The bathroom towels were fluffy! - The bathroom comes with: hand soap, hand lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a loofah. - There’s water carafes on each of the nightstands.

I stayed in the Licha room as a solo traveler for 5 nights. DIDN’T LOVE - Could’ve been better: - The drain backed up in the shower. - An odd one, but the toilet seat pinched my upper thigh area when I would get up from the seat. I’d never experienced this before so was shocked by the pinch! - The Licha’s entrance is double-doored, but you’d only open one of the doors to come and go. That opening is quite narrow (I’m plus-sized so I noticed this daily). - The internet is spotty and there’s a lag if you’re watching Netflix on the TV. I also noticed that the sound would randomly go in and out while watching ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. - One of the water carafes’ top looked questionable BE ADVISED - Not bad, but good to know: - The stairs to the hallway entrance are narrow, a bit steep, and there is no elevator. Folks with mobility issues should not stay here. - Not too bad for me as a solo traveler, but the floor creaks moderately loudly! If you’re a couple staying in the Licha, and you’re a light sleeper, take note. - Light sleepers, in general, should take note. You can hear the comings and goings of other guests fairly well. I noticed they offer earplugs in the lobby, though. - The bathroom window opens up to the little gathering area they have next door to the Licha. I kept the windows closed because of this, but if someone’s in there talking on the phone it can cause a noise disturbance (this happened once during my stay). - The room has 2 entrances from the main hallway: the 2-doored main entrance, and the bathroom entrance. - There’s another door in the bathroom that remains locked and I think leads to a utility closet in the little gathering space next door. - Entrance to the room is with a key. The Licha has 2 keys: one for lock that leads onto the little deck, and the room door key. - There’s an iron, but no ironing board. - The lighting isn’t super bright, but more warm and mood-setting. If you like it bright-bright, this may be off-putting.

"A cozy, quiet oasis steps from Chapultapec."

8.0

This is a lovely inn with a very friendly and helpful staff, impeccably clean rooms, in a great location, for a good value. The neighborhood is quiet and safe and there are so many good places to eat within a few blocks. It's also super close to Bosque Chapultapec, so you can walk to many museums, and quickly access public transportation (although be aware that as of 2023 line 1 is still under renovation - you'll need to take the bus instead). I loved our stylish room, soft sheets, lots of pillows, and spacious bathroom. It was a cozy and quiet place to be after long days trekking through the city. The staff were very communicative over WhatsApp - super responsive and gave lots of detailed info and tips, which was very appreciated.

As other reviews mentioned, the rooms are pretty dark. A tall, bright floor lamp or simple overhead light would take these rooms from quite good to excellent. But for us, this was a minor issue - we weren't there to work or stay in the room all day.
