Luxury Riverview City Centre Apartment 2

Clean, cosy,comfortable and very well located

Property is well positioned giving lovely views over The Clyde and within easy walking distance of City Centre shops, Concert Hall etc. Directions re gaining keys/access were easy to follow. Coffee machine pods were on hand and Lidl’s is just steps away to get milk or any other food/drink supplies. Kitchen is fairly well equipped with crockery/cutlery. We ate out so cant comment re cooker, equipment etc

Although booking info and signage posted downstairs stated non smoking we were met by a wall of smoke on opening front door. We wouldn’t have booked had we been aware of this. The smell did reduce through opening patio doors and windows whenever we were in the flat ( not ideal in Jan) but was still evident on our departure. We reported this to the owner who was pleased to hear that the smell was reducing but didnt offer to provide any remedial control measures. One of the controls on the ensuite shower was loose and fell off on use( it also had pin lever missing) but shower could still function fully. The owner advised that handyman would repair it today. I wasnt aware at the time of sending my report but parts of the bath and basin taps in the other bathroom were broken off ( the pin levers)making them awkward to turn on and off

The location was excellent and the flat was a good size and the beds were comfortable.

There were no instructions at the flat as to how to operate equipment (e.g. central heating, cooker, coffee machine) There was no information pack about either the flat itself or the city. There was no welcome pack (by no means essential, but some milk in the fridge and/or buiscuits are always welcome upon arrival) The space heating went off very early in the evening (or was set low) and, without instructions, it was difficult to contend with. The rear of the flat seems to be in a wind tunnel. The second night was, unfortunately, exceptionally windy and I could not get to sleep because of the noise of the wind in the back bedroom). It was only at about 2.0a.m. that I discovered a packet of ear plugs on one of the bedside tables. An information pack, drawing attention to the problem, would have saved me a couple of hours sleep.

Great location. Lovely apartment very comfortable! View was incredible. Would stay again

That it was a modern apartment. Hosts were responsive.

The location and cleanliness. The rug in the lounge room was filthy, sheets were scratchy, skirting boards were dirty, ensuite didn’t have a door, tv in bedroom wasn’t tuned and despite attempts never worked for live tv.
