La Casa Di Chiaretta

Il B&B è in una posizione strategica molto vicina all'uscita dell'autostrada e quindi comoda per muoversi anche in altre zone della Calabria. I proprietari sono gentili. La camera è tranquilla e silenziosa; il terrazzino è molto bello con vista sul mare.

Colazione scarna, infatti spesso siamo andati a farla al bar sotto casa. La posizione è buona però per arrivare sulla spiaggia bisogna attraversare una zona incolta e camminare per circa 10 minuti quindi dopo il primo giorno ci siamo recati con l'auto sulla spiaggia. La camera è un po' piccolina e non è mai stata pulita durante tutto il soggiorno.

Great host, clean room, worth the price

The price was right. The building had an elevator. The room was clean and included a bathroom. We had one of the 2 rooms in a small apartment. The breakfast was an abundant array of store pre-packaged brioche, toast, Nutella and marmalade packets, abundant water, juice carton and a coffee machine we didn’t use.

The apartment is in a building right off the highway and next to the train tracks so the noise was high when the train passed. When we arrived I contacted the owner via WhatsApp and he immediately gave me directions to enter, and after my first impression of a gloomy apartment, I did notice that the room we were assigned, was clean and ok for a stopover. It needs an overhaul, but it’s clean and had towels, tp and all bathroom supplies. The apartment itself only has a kitchenette area with all the basic supplies for breakfast, a table and 4 chairs and the hallway to the 2 bedrooms. For our purpose (a short stay) it was just ok, and we did get some sleep despite the noise. I have to say that the property is located close to a beach area, so maybe in high season this apartment could be rented as a family (both rooms) and be made more welcoming. The building has an elevator and we were able to park on the street directly in front of the door.
