IFIGENIA TRAD.ROOMS IN OLDTOWN BY.MARIOS

We had a large room with a balcony. The rooms were nice and clean and very appealing. The included breakfast is great and the staff were very helpful and friendly. A great place to stay in the old town.

It has a few quirks being in such an old building which might bother some people. Access to our room was via a tight spiral staircase which you need to take care on. The bed is on a raised area which is also accessed via a spiral staircase so care is also needed here. It will be fine for most people but those with mobility or balance issues may not prefer it.

Location at the center of the old town and people serving the breakfast

No parking despite what is mentionned is the description. You have to park on public parking which are quickly full. No tips or indication from management (despite 1 l’ail and two phone calls). Rooms are adequate although you have to bear with canalisation sound from other rooms….

Location was great. Breakfast was super. Balcony and rooftop terrace were great.

Lots of narrow spiral stairs up to the place and between the beds and living space/bathroom. Fine if you aren’t scared of heights ( ;

In August it’s very hard to find a parking nearby

The property was interesting in that a few modern facilities had been added to an old building. Very quaint in some aspects. It was in a good location. There was no street noise. Potential noise would be neighbouring guests but our two nights were peacefully quiet, the bed was comfortable and the Aircon worked. The jacuzzi bath worked well. Enjoyed the breakfast. The owner Michalis was extremely helpful and arranged for us to check in early and arranged coffee and a snack while we waited.

There was no plug in the bathroom basin. The bathroom and the “kitchennette” were a little cramped

Beautiful traditional room in old town Chania with a very nice terrace. Breakfast is also very good.

Loved the unique room, very cosy, the breakfast was great and the location was super central. Felt like a great taste of Crete
