Dhole's Den Bandipur

It’s located away from the roads, gives a feel of almost living in the forest. The host is very friendly, the staff are quite knowledgeable about the birds and animals around the region and give excellent recommendations. We went with two little girls, and they had as much an enjoyable trip as adults.

None, our 3-day visit was perfect.

We loved the location out near the forest. It was beautifully quiet. We really enjoyed bird watching, going for a few walks and seeing lots of wildlife. We went on 2 safaris away from the compound. The staff were really very generous, knowledgeable and kind. The food was excellent and very generous!

There wasn't anything we didn't like. We found a nice walk through the local village a little late in our stay, so if you like to get a walk in do have a walk along the roads (away from the forest!)

The location of the homestay is really breathtaking. You can see the western Ghats range from all the rooms. The rooms are huge and spacious.

The service of the staff is one of the worst I have experienced in any hotel till now. The homestay is not at all suitable for families with children. There is no menu for children or the staff ready to cook anything. You have to ask multiple times to get anything done. There is no room service and you will have to ask multiple times even to get the morning tea. The foods are okay but tasteless. The manager and some of the staff are courteous but most of them are careless and rude. This homestay could be suitable for couples or singles but strictly not for families with children.
