Everything from the staff at reception to the staff everywhere is the hotel, the food, the history of the building was exceptional. Highly recommend.

It was a 15 min cycle / half an hour walk from the centre of Lecca which was a challenge in the rain!

Me gustó mucho el edificio. El cuarto era excelente y cómodo. El desayuno muy bueno.

El restaurante de la noche ( cambiaron el menú entre que reservamos y fuimos, sin avisar). La atención en el restaurante fue mala también. No le gusta la ubicación del hotel.

I arrived at Lecce due to a medical emergency. My husband was admitted to Lecce intensive care. This place could have been my salvation. It is a beautiful , peaceful old monastery but I found no humanity. At 1am I went to my lovely room and hoped I could stay for a few days as it is close to the hospital and I simply wanted a base as I had no one to help me and felt very emotional and lonely. I didn’t want to pack up and find somewhere else just hours after arriving. I need a base during a terrible ordeal.

The next morning I pleaded to stay and explained my husband was in intensive care. There was no understanding, simply ‘fully booked’. I asked what time I must leave as I had arrived so late and wasn’t allowed to see my husband until 1pm Didn’t even give me an extension. I had to pack up and go at 11am. I cried all the way to the hospital as everything felt too much. I told them I was disappointed and would give a bad review as I felt so alone in this country with no one to care or help me. Several hours later they emailed and offered to help me book somewhere else. Too late. I would like to think that I would never show such a lack of compassion to someone in need. Surely being so close to b the hospital I am not the first guest in n such need?
