The White Lion Hotel

Very comfy. Clean. The accommodation was in a separate unit to the rear of the pub so it was quiet, too (Pub was not quiet 😃)

I thought it was in Bridgend! 🤦‍♂️

The property was great for the price. In great location. Short walk to train station. Room was clean and spacious. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We return from a concert late at night and all local food places had closed. Staff offered to make us pizzas, even though the kitchen was closed. Went above and beyond.

Location, facilities and staff were all excellent. The room was a family room over 2 levels - lots of space. The food was pizza or nachos but high quality. Loads of towels in the room.

Our host Patrick was very accommodating and made us feel welcome on arrival. We were upgraded to a larger room which was more than adequate. The bed was comfortable and the White Lion is in a good location with easy access to village shops and surrounding attractions.

The facilities served our purpose and though certain parts of the decor look a bit tired, I'm sure the enthusiastic host has plans to address this in time. It would have been nice to have breakfast at the hotel. However there are plenty of cafes a couple of minutes walk down the road, so not a major issue.
