LB Newgate

Newgate Cottage is in a fantastic location by The Quay and the property is well appointed. It was spotlessly clean on arrival and the check in proceedure was very straightforward. We had a fabulous few nights.

It was great for two of us, but may be a bit too cozy for 4 adults.

Location, decor, comfort, cleanliness, easy parking.

Only a small suggestion, but taller bedside lamps in the top bedroom would make bedtime reading a little easier.

Location was perfect. Lots of nearby coffee shops and restaurants. Some will be closed until February.

Shower had mouldy grout. Washbasin too small. An underwear drawer in the double room would have been helpful although I did find the underbed drawer on the last night. However it's still a lovely cottage for a short break.

The chain at the bottom of the street was locked with a padlock to which the keys provided did not fit. The WiFi code was different to that provided via the host's app - caused initial problems. The TV was a smart TV with streaming services but this was not mentioned in property details and so we brought some unnecessary kit.

Conveniently situated close to the quay, but quiet. There is easy parking close by, made free by the supplied 'parking clock'. The cottage is immaculately presented and, although it might have been rather small downstairs for a family of four, it was ideal for two.

the lock box was VERY hard to open .... and the front door was difficult to open with the key - a bit of push and pull action to get in every time - but there was absolutely nothing else to worry about.
