La Punta Beach House

The hostel doesn't existiert anymore!!!!!! Its another hostel now run by a New Manager. We are still trying to get back our money. It's a Scam, DONT BOOK IT! NO LO RESERVES NO EXISTE!

Nothing the owner didn’t answer when we got there and we waited outside with our luggage got hours and ended up leaving to another apartment in the middle of the night!

Rooms were nicely decorated

Accomodation is way more rundown than it looks on the photos; the right part of the yard, wich is not photographed, looks absolutely messy (apparently a lady lives there); we had a hard time opening the rusty locks at the gate and room; no shower curtain; when the aircon broke down, the handling by the management was so unprofessional, that we decided to leave the accomodation (we got the money back for the booked days we did not spend)

The host was super friendly and great communication

Not all the rooms have AC

The place did not meet our expectations at all. The room was very uncomfortable, the toilet smelled very bad when we arrived. The shower wasn't working, and the owner did not try to find us any solution because he said it was too late in the evening. We were the ones who had to propose the solution of letting us shower in another room that was available, and he eventually agreed. The kitchen was also a complete mess. It was also not easy to find the place, as it did not exist on the map. Although the place is closeby to the main street in Punta Zicatela, it is still located in a street with very little lighting and some abandoned houses.

Insects in the room, glass door (no privacy), no mosquito net on the windows, one towel for two people

Basic accommodation but good enough for a low budget. Beds were comfortable and bathroom quite decent. Location is amazing, 2-3 minutes walk to bars and restaurants. Alonso who run the place was very helpful and responsive to our texts. Fresh water available for guests.

The room was very hot. We managed to sleep with two fans on but definitely opt for an AC option for a more comfortable stay. Common areas although have lots of potential they feel abandoned and you can't really make much use of them.
