Yesheyzz Homestay, Upper Sichey, Gangtok

Nestled in a quiet neighbourhood and surrounded with fruit and flower trees, Yesheyzz provided us with a comfortable stay during our Gangtok trip. One can take a ten minutes ride to MG Marg from the nearby local taxi stand and a stroll back downhill is always an option. Both Yeshey and Shankar are great conversationist; they enthusiastically pointed out places to visit and eateries to enjoy. Yeshey is also a great cook and we enjoyed a medley of dinner and breakfast with local touch. Rarely homestays have homely touch as we felt exceptionally in Yesheyzz.

1- Nature of the owner is fantastic, they are welcoming 2- Almost every necessary thing was available in the room 3- Tv, water boiler, chair, closets, geyser etc was there 4- The location is a bit far from Mg road, every time you have to take a cab to go there. There is nothing like the local market.

1- The geyser of the washroom needs maintenance, it is not working properly. 2- There should be a table under the room mirror, to put make-up belonging near the table.

As a solo female traveler, this place has been one of the best homestay experiences that I have had so far. Yeshey and Shankar are kind, caring and helpful hosts. They helped me with every small detail of my travel. The food prepared by Yeshey was super delicious and she made sure that I got to taste the local dishes even though I am a vegan. The house has a good vibe to it and long conversations with them gave me deep insights about the place and culture. I stayed there for 6 nights but after just two nights I felt like I was staying in my own home. I highly recommend this place for both solo travellers and families looking for comfort when you are travelling. Next time I go to Gangtok, this is definitely the place that I will stay at. Such experiences make traveling a memorable one.

This place is not for parties, loud music etc etc… This place is for relaxation, peace (from the hustle and bustle of the town), good home cooked food, very caring hosts. 1. Yesheyzz was a blessing for my mother, who finds difficulty climbing stairs. This place has NONE. The hired vehicle can come right upto the doorstep & the taxi stand is just outside their private driveway. Rs30 per head to drop you off to “Ranka” stand (beside Post Office). From there a 5 minute walk to MG Marg. Return is the same process. If you be late in the evening better hire the taxi for Rs120-150, rather than waiting for the taxi to fill up. 2. Exceptional hosts. They will guide you for everything. Just ask. They arranged all my travelling for me and my mother. 3. Rooms & Property : 10minutes by taxi for MG Marg & Back. Hired and shared options are available and cheap. The positivity of this place will energise you for the next day. Has all the basic necessities. Has a vintage bungalow feel. 4. Food : Just superb !!!! Yeshey is a master cook and whatever comes out of the kitchen is soul food. My mother loved the dal, rice and local veg she prepared for us. All food is cooked FRESH, as in really fresh. If you want to eat here, you will have to let them know much in advance and you not be disappointed. Thank you Yeshey and sir for taking care of us and the wonderful memories. Will be back.

We had a great experience in Chyolham Residency. The hospitality provided by the host was amazing. They had helped in getting taxis, package to North Sikkim and food recommendations, and more. They have really good food options and tastes like home. Very friendly and homely stay, would recommend and visit again in future.

The hotel is 5 min walking distance from MG marg. Nice and cozy clean rooms. Staff are very caring. Also they will guide you about the local sightseeing nicely. If you want you can eat local homemade food in the hotel itself with reasonable price.

Wifi was down

Loved the owners and their efforts to make our stay memorable. Genuine people who loved to interact with me. I would really really love to visit again.
