Giovinazzo e il mare

The host Angie, was always contactable and accommodating, readily meeting our requests due to changes in our travel plans. This is a family-owned apartment—well maintained and beautifully presented, with modern conveniences throughout. While there is only one bathroom (which is common in Italy), the shower was surprisingly spacious. The location is superb—right in the heart of the old town and within walking distance to the Piazza, cafes, restaurants, the main beach, and various beach clubs along the shoreline.

Amazing communication and met Angie's friend who arranged a transfer and also his parents to do the handover. Very lovely people. I was in town for the start of a 4000km bike race and this was the perfect place to relax and hang out before the start. As hosts, Angie's parents are so lovely and available any time we needed them.

Logement exceptionnel !!! Et les parents de Angie sont une gentillesse comme je n’ai jamais vu. Le logement est plus qu’équipé, d’une propreté exemplaire. Nous avons été accueilli avec des petits gâteaux, un petit panier de gourmandise. Nous aurions aimé rester plus longtemps dans le logement mais nous reviendrons 😊 merci encore à Angie et ses parents.

Hier hat einfach alles angepasst. Wir wurden von den Eltern der Gastgeberin herzlich willkommen geheißen. Dass sie nur Italienisch konnten war kein Problem - die Wohnung wurde uns dennoch toll erklärt. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, auch eine Waschmaschine gibt es. Sogar Waschpulver war vorhanden. Die Klimaanlage läuft leise, die Dusche hat den richtigen Wasserdruck (auch für lange Haare). Es sind nur ein paar Schritte ans Meer und zur Altstadt. In der Nebenstraße ist ein Bäcker, bei dem man warme Mahlzeiten fürs Mittagessen mitnehmen kann. Supermärkte, Restaurants und Eisdielen sind alle zu Fuß leicht erreichbar. Eine Busstation ist ganz in der Nähe. Wir hatten einen Mietwagen und haben immer beim Quartier problemlos einen Parkplatz gefunden. Mit der Parkkarte hilft die Gastgeberin völlig unkompliziert (herzlichen Dank dafür!). Vom schmalen Balkon aus sieht man aufs Meer. Die Kommunikation hat sehr gut funktioniert, die Gastgeberin hat immer zeitnahe geantwortet. Und Giovinnazo ist ein Traum. Wir wollen auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

The location was excellent, just a few meters from the sea! The apartment has everything that you might need and more. We were welcomed by Angie’s parents which are really lovely people - full Italian experience from the very beginning 😂 Homemade sweets and some local products as a welcome gift were really nice. Angie was very responsive and helpful throughout our visit which made our stay even more enjoyable.

The mattress was a bit too soft to our liking but that’s a personal preference so it might be great for someone else.

From the very beginning, everything was exceptional. Angelo contacted me early to offer any help or advice. We've texted a few times afterwards, and he was very responsive and lovely. He had a lot of tailored recommendations to my preferences. I travelled with my grandmother. Angelo's lovely parents came to pick us up from the train station by car. They've greeted us with warm southern Italian hospitality and delicious sweet treats. The apartment was so charming and had everything we needed: cooking facilities, balcony overlooking the water, washing machine, spacious bed, TV, coffee machine etc. It's clearly been decorated with great attention to detail and had an amazing atmosphere and references to the sea and the region everywhere. Giovinazzo is a true hidden gem. With gorgeous sceneries, beautiful architecture, and a breathtaking sunset, which you can watch from the pier after a very short walk from the apartment. Everything else is also very close and walkable. Markets, shops, restaurants, bus and train station etc. There are stairs to the apartment to keep in mind. Overall, I could not recommend this experience highly enough, and I will certainly be coming back. 🌊 🇮🇹
