Neatness and cleanliness

We experienced multiple issues that significantly impacted our comfort and well-being: 1. No Heating – The central heater was not working. When we finally received a response after checkout, the host stated that, since it’s summer, she “decided we don’t need it.” This is highly unacceptable. My father, a wheelchair user visiting the UK for the first time, was extremely cold despite it being summer by calendar. His health and comfort were seriously affected. Although we managed with a single electric heater in the room, this was not sufficient for the whole property. 2. No Hot Water for Shower – While there was hot water in the taps at night, the shower in the morning ran only ice-cold water, making it impossible for any of us to have a proper shower. We tried adjusting the thermostat and other settings, but nothing worked. This lack of basic amenity was extremely inconvenient. 3. Zero Communication During Emergency – We attempted to contact the host multiple times by phone and WhatsApp, with no response whatsoever. The host only replied after we had checked out, by which time the damage and inconvenience had already been done. This level of unresponsiveness is unprofessional and unacceptable. 4. Lack of Basic Instructions – There was no visible set of instructions in the property explaining how to operate essential amenities like heating or water systems. This added to the confusion and difficulty during our stay. Due to these issues, we were forced to leave the property feeling unclean and extremely disappointed, which negatively affected the start of our trip. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and appropriate action is taken. This level of service does not meet the standards expected from a hosted property, and I would like this to be officially registered as a formal complaint.

Quiet location close to Cotswold Way

The property was hard to find because I could not see a street sign. There was another property with a virtually identical name close by. The front door and patio door locks and handles were poorly maintained and very difficult to open. This was stressful as I was arriving alone and felt unsafe. The property was cold and there were no lights instructions inside about heating or extra blankets. There were no instructions about the wi-fi. There was nothing to welcome me, not even a pint of milk in the fridge. The owner was not sufficiently communicative.
