Cosy Flat Near Douro

The apartment was very nicely decorated, applied with everything you need. Since Porto old town is not too big, the location further than desired was not of big deal. The owners were super nice and attentive. When we noticed that we didn’t get enough towels, the moment we wrote to ask for them, they answered and resolved the problem.

Unpleasant surprise was the fact that apartment was not on the location shown on the Booking map, but circa 2,4 km away from the direction of the city Center. Those additional 15 min walk with 5 year old child was not always ideal. Although the description itself on Booking website stated the correct address. Until now it never occurred to me to check if those two match. Secondly, heating system is a big downfall if visiting Porto (especially with children) in winter. We were provided with big fan heater, which was very loud and not safe for the use during the night. Soon as you stop heating the place gets very cold. Storage space for wardrobe and jackets was very tiny - one narrow wardrobe with a rod was provided, what was supposed to fit all our clothes (3 people) and jackets. We had to leave the suitcase open on the floor and jump over it during our stay.
