This immaculately clean, well appointed apartment with beach access is exceptional! A perfect vacation spot located outside of the town centre - you only have to walk through the gates to discover soft sands, a beach with shallow water, and no sargassum seaweed. The property includes a palm hut with hammocks, perfect for enjoying the sea breeze out of the direct sun. Communication with the host was excellent. A gem!

Logement un peu reculé qui peut être questionnant à l’arrivée si de nuit. Dans la belle ville de Celestun où locaux et touristes se mêlent ! Petit soucis de crottes de lézards dans le logement qui n’avait pas été occupé depuis plusieurs jours mais très vite résolu par la propriétaire !!

Beautiful, empty beach right in front of the property, nice garden with an outside shower, felt safe. A few notes: - Takes 25 minutes to walk into town (along the beach or road) - From the pictures, I didn’t like that there‘s a gate between the property and the beach, but actually every property that cares about safety there has that - The owner was very responsive and helpful - The Internet worked well - No safe in the room - Only portable cooktop (at least in apartment 1) in the kitchen - Great view from the rooftop terrace (can be used by all guests), but not covered much so exposed to the sun - The room choice matters. Two apartments are closer to the road (and motorbikes can be noisy), of which only one has a nice outside terrace with a view. The third apartment is further away from the road and the family that stayed there „occupied“ the great little wooden viewing platform with hammocks throughout their whole visit. - Do a canoe tour through the mangrove forests! (not a motorized boat tour, they destroy the sediment) - Fruit juices and shakes are great everywhere; other than that we struggled with food options in Celestun. We tried quite a few places and the only one we would go back to was Peter Pan.

Fabulous view from my 2nd floor open and spacious apartment w/ balcony. I splurged on this spot for a 60th bday gift to self! A friend joined me for part of the time and a couple local friends came to visit for dinner and pina coladas. Borrowed a blender! Happy I could bring my dog, who I met as a street puppy here 4 years ago. Puma and the lovely property mascot, Macho, became buddies and Macho was a love and became part of our crew. Enjoyed stunning views from rooftop early in day and a special spot for yoga, hanging one’s laundry to dry. Fabulous beach and sea right out front a two minute walk from apt! Very quiet and great for r&r! Apt is one of two in this new building. No one was in other apt. There’s a house closer to the beach within Casa del Mexicano property and a couple groups came and went in cars. One group thought I was the host :) I wish! I didnt rent a car and walked, took the colorful/open air taxis of Celestun and it wasn’t an issue. Coincidentally, two guests arriving after me from Argentina, I had been in touch with 4 years earlier in trying to facilitate and plan a spay/neuter day in Celestun! We had never met though. They had me over for a delicious dinner- cooked steak n the outdoor bbq, and stayed in the main Casa! It has an amazing kitchen and screened in porch - lovely. Casa is a stone’s throw - about 50 feet from the sea! Gorgeous beach - serene morning swims. Gracias for a beauty filled stay!

-Non functioning internet latter part of vacay/work 10 day stay. Hopped on neighbor’s across street that was working, from the calle or Take laptop into town at 1. Casa Bacab’s - great coffee/amazing open air bathroom or 2. Los Lobos or another restaurant such as Las Pompanos or Las Palapas - bring headphones if need quiet. -Electrical outages on two muy hot days. Not a host thing, but rather a heads up for others. Not uncommon to have them here, but if due to utility work, town alerts you in advance as happened at my next spot. We got 💨 lucky. Knocked out from wind. -Non-operational bedroom AC Remote. We worked it out after inquiring with helper on site, & got new batteries next day. Should have asked Julia- lovely and responsive Host! Go to her first :) -Again not a host thing, but smoke from burning brush and trash nearby.

Beautiful apartment, fantastic barbecue facilities, beach access. To make your stay even better when you arrive, stop at a supermarket and buy water, coffee, coffee filters, ice and food for the first night. The local restaurants close early. There is a little market that closes at 14:00, but there are shops in town for essential. If you can, and like cooking, bring a blender. We made salsa by chopping, the long way. There is a friendly dog on site.

We only stayed one night but the flat was lovely and had all we needed. The instructions were clear and communication quick and easy. We didn’t get to use the beach access but it’s a lovely property and directly on the beach.

The property is a bit further away from the centre and restaurants, which was not an issue for us with the car. Most BnBs are along the same road which gets nosy (at least on a Friday night!)
