Location was central.

I requested a cot for my infant at booking and again prior to arriving. When I arrived there was no cot visibly there and I contacted the host. My baby had to sleep in the pram as by the time the host got back to me hours later to advise me that it was in a wardrobe of a room that isn’t used the baby was already asleep. I think that when the cot was requested it should have been left out. The house was filthy. The cups in the cupboard were dirty, glasses felt greasy and the cutlery all had to be washed before use. There was dust and cobwebs everywhere. The dust was so thick in places you could write your name. There were splashes of toothpaste around the sink and mirror in the bathroom and the toothbrush holders had old green slime in them from a buildup of toothpaste over time. The carpets also had visible dirt on them. I did highlight this to the host when we were leaving and was advised I should have informed them during the stay so that they could have sent the cleaners back in, however this was not practical for us to facilitate during our stay and feel that it simply should have been cleaned before we arrived. There was no offer of compensation, even if we had have paid half what we did it still would have been too much.

Location was good for us

Only two bedrooms had beds in do our kids had to share a bed. They didn’t like that

Great location! Easy access via key safe. The price was very good which made up for some issues we had. The pool table/table tennis table was a nice addition and used by us all. Mattresses were comfortable and we had a good couple of nights sleep.

Could have been cleaner. Some of the sockets weren’t working which meant we couldn’t plug phones and lamp in by the bedside. I think maybe they were halfway through sorting out the rooms as there were four bedrooms but only two had beds in. The two With beds were downstairs and smaller which wasn’t great and not near any of the bathrooms. The two upstairs rooms were bigger, had a dressing table and right next to the bathrooms so would be much better as bedrooms. Dishwasher was a nice addition but smelt a bit funky. Some of the crockery and cutlery was dirty too. For the price, it was ok though.

Very central location. 2 mins walk to town, 2 mins in other direction for Lidl/Tesco/pub by the river. Loads of pub/restaurant options nearby. Great for exploring and visiting local attractions. Were only there 2 nights; would have been good base for longer. Parking arrangements useful - 2 cars accommodated, 20 seconds walk away. Comfortable beds. Pool table was a hit with the youths.

Some areas could do with a deeper clean - cobwebs etc, and maybe provide some cleaning products for guest use.
