Victory2 City Center

I liked everything, and enjoyed the small details (coffee, sugar, cotton buds in the bathroom etc). I booked this property because I wanted a bathtub and it was very nice! Deep, constant hot water. The bed was comfortable and the space is compact but has everything you need. I liked the breakfast bar and having a little workspace. Fantastic location in sector 1, very luxurious bars, restaurants and clothes shops. Convenience shop just 5 mins walk. Excellent value for money, especially for genius members.

This is an old building (which I love!) but just be aware that the lifts can feel a bit rickety as a result. There are some useful notices in English though, reminding you to wait before opening the door so you don't get stuck in the dark. The lights in the lifts and corridors don't always work so you might need a torch. And there's no intercom which meant going downstairs to meet my boyfriend rather than just buzzing him in. A few more kitchen utensils and wine glasses would be nice. But overall I highly recommend this property and I'd definitely book again.

The location was right in the city center. Communication with the host was good and fast.

- the apartment smells very badly of humidity - the bathroom smells horrible like sewage and I even went so far as to wash my face in the kitchen. It was a really horrible smell - my socks were immediately dirty and I noticed that the floor was not washed in a very long time, only vacuumed - over our stay the host or cleaning personel left hanging to dry a lot of bed sheets and another ton in the washing machine itself. That only added to the damp smell of the apartment - overall a terrible stay because of the smells and the dirty floors. I was really looking forward to the stay since the apartment looks really nice in the pictures and the raving reviews ( over 9) but I had a very dissapointing experience..

More noise in the room from the street

The location was very good, located in one of the main streets. Despite this it was very quiet in the appartment.

Several aspects of the apartment did not meet expectations or match the listing. The most serious issue was the lack of running water for more than 24 hours on the second day of my stay. When I raised the issue and asked about a refund, the host did not address the request directly and instead assured me the water would return by 4 p.m. In reality, it only came back around 4 a.m. the following day. For the entire 5-day stay, there was no hot water at all. Cleanliness was also disappointing: the cutlery was greasy, the floor was dirty, and the bathroom had a persistent sewage odor unless the door was left open. Additionally, the apartment did not have a water kettle or a balcony, despite both being advertised. Although the owner was friendly, none of these problems were resolved. He offered to stop by midway through the stay, but due to my schedule this wasn’t possible, and he did not follow up afterward with concrete actions. At the end of the trip, he seemed taken aback when Booking responded to my refund request, which I had filed early in the stay due to the lack of running water. Ultimately, the request was denied.

Very well located, easy to get to all attractions. The vibe on the Calea Victoriei street is amazing.
