The house of Gostina

Was there for a week in February. Arrived to a freezing cold house, it took 24 hours to get a reasonable heat. The house is on 3 levels served by a narrow staircase. We gave up on getting heat in the living room which did not immediately have a heat source. The house is heated with a pellet stove, one on the first floor where the kitchen is and one on the top floor where the bedroom is. On the last day we discovered a fan in the living room which could draw heat up from the kitchen. But it was not turned on and was hiding behind a table. We where not told. After a long journey, a bath was needed, but there was no hot water. After some communication with the owner, he admitted that there might be problems getting the hot water up to the bathroom on the second floor. We had to let the water run in the kitchen and bathroom at the same time, and it worked. So this became daily rutine There was supposed to be a washing machine in the house but could not be found. Again we had to ask the owner. It was in the basement which has a different house number, so not obvious. After a few days the control panel for the pellet stove in the kitchen didn't work. It could only run on full heat and we couldn't turn it down. The kitchen floor was dirty.

Very strait forward arrival. Simple key recuperation. Quite easy to find a parking. Most charming appartment, Decorated with artistic talent. Very practical. It has everything you can need. Quiet and central. The communication with the owner is easy and reply is always fast. Perfect for a romantic weekend.

I didn't meet the owner. It would have been nice at arrival for some explanations. But on the other hand, communication by phone was very easy and response always instantaneous. The owner is therefore very efficient. It is one of the most well equiped house I have rent, but their was no Internet connection. Therefore you have to rely on your phone only, no computer.
