WIJA's Bali Homestay

Good location.

Wasn’t clean.

It's location was perfect, and the owners were very friendly.

The communal bathroom.needed to be better maintained.

Nice to have your own room

The toilets were always dirty

Rooms are basic but easy and good location for beach and airport.

I wish they had a water fountain/tank to refill bottles like other homestays so we don't have to use single-use plastic bottles

Great air conditioning. Great price. I loved the location because of all the cheap food stalls in the laneway outside. They helped me bring my luggage up the stairs. They had free fruit everyday outside my room. On the first & second day: bananas and mandarins. Third & fourth day: mandarins and "Snake fruit" (a new fruit for me, which I was delighted to try.) They very kindly provided 2 weeks of free bag storage while I continue my trip around Bali. Thank you Wija's Homestay. Sitting area outside the rooms was comfortable. (But sometimes used by smokers to have a cigarette, unfortunately.)

A rooster lives close to the accommodation, so you get an early wake up call. (Very common in Bali.) Smoking outside my room. The shared showers and toilets need more regular cleaning. Toilets seemed to only be cleaned very early each morning. I'd recommend an additional clean in the mid-afternoon and possibly evening. (Depends on how clean and considerate the other guests are. One of the days of my stay, there was a man who left pubic hair in toilet and never used the toilet brush despite 'streaking' the toilet.)
