The Gamekeeper's Inn

Welcoming, quiet, rooms at the Gamekeepers tucked away and super comfortable. It was a freezing couple of days while we were here and the room was toasty. Swimming pool was great, free lockers and towels made it really easy. Overall absolutely lovely, we’ll be back.

Being picky - the onsite restaurant is a little on the pricy side for the food quality ~ £19 for veggie pasta. I would have really liked another veggie option on the evening menu. Pool changing rooms were very, very wet - possibly a drainage issue. Made it difficult to get changed without soaking clothes. I was surprised to see drinkers with pints in the jacuzzi and felt a bit uncomfortable during evening (7pm) swim - appreciate it was later in the day but not sure it made it feel family friendly.

Location is lovely, staff were so nice and the bed was so comfy! Food was exceptional

Room was quite warm, despite turning the radiator down!

Friendly staff. Good facilities on site though not used on this occasion. Room modern and plenty of storage. Good shower & bath. Good location. Meals good.

Room was a bit too warm at night. Patio area would be adequate but only stone wall visible from our room - Great Whernside
