The living room and bedrooms, were lovely and had been decorated to a high standard. The location was perfect with beautiful views across Oban. There was a cupboard full of games, which was great when we were hiding from the storm. There is a beautiful garden to the rear of the property which would be great on nice days.

Hallway and kitchen are bit dated, not what I’d expect for the money paid.

No breakfast requested or provided. Spacious villa except for 2nd bedroom. It should not be classed as a bedroom.

More attention to prior cleaning. 2nd bedroom was not adequate.

This place is a fabulous location and has a stunning view and that is worth everything! Plus, lots of storage. Terrific place to stay. Has all the amenities and a comfy bathtub. The only thing for us was It was a little chilly, but that is Scotland. The heaters worked great everywhere, although the front room and small bedroom were cooler that the rest of the villa.

The manager was an excellent communicator, accommodating and kept in close touch. Good parking options. Nice area of town. Beautiful view of the city.

This was obviously a new listing and needed lots of attention to details that had been sorely overlooked. The beds were not comfortable. Especially the twin bed, which was broken down on one side causing the bed to slope to the side and the person sleeping on it to roll to the side. Very uncomfortable. We ended up rolling up a coat and putting it on the side under the sheet to create a barrier so we wouldn’t roll out. The small bedroom window had no covering, as noted in a prior review yet not addressed, which left one very exposed. No rugs anywhere in the house except living room. Extremely narrow kitchen which was impossible to fit more than one person at a time in. No coffee of any kind, not even instant coffee which was at least always offered in other places we stayed in, and only a French press coffee maker with no instructions on how to use for those who were clueless. The curtains in the living room were dummy curtains with sheers that did not close, leaving it very cold and exposed to the street. The living room furniture was too large and very poorly arranged making it very awkward to watch tv. Not a “smart” tv. Contrary to the description there was no “designated work space”. Only a dining room table. The secondary bedroom was actually a closet under the stairs with only enough room for a twin bed. No bedside table. No dresser. No room! Only a small one level shelf at the foot of the bed under the small window and a plastic box with drawers wedged under the shelf and impossible to get to. We had to put our suitcase on the floor in the living room to use it at all and dress in the living room which had no window covering, forcing us to dress in the dark. The small bedroom had one very tiny window with no covering. The towels were extremely thin and not at all absorbent. Doubt they’d ever been washed. Each guest was left 1 bad towel and hand towel. No extra towels. No washcloths. No soap, shampoo or any type of amenities at all.

The place was lovely, comfortable living room area, good decor & a nice view from the window.

We did not receive any check in or check out information, I had to call to get the code to the lock box. There was no information on systems with the property and, though I got a quick information on the boiler to turn on the heat, it had not been checked and didn’t function properly. The info book had a QR code to an Airbnb link, but we booked through Booking.com so the link did us no good. After several calls & emails regarding the heat, we were told the handyman would be there the following day. We were able to briefly get the heat working the next day (when it was cold & rainy - very Scottish) I let the landlord know, and then let him know that it was off & on. From that point he ended conversation and did not follow up with the handyman. We spent the evening wearing multiple layers and piled under blankets. When I sent an email regarding that, he did not get back to us until several hours after we checked out. (And didn’t realize we had checked out). Very disappointing to have an absentee landlord ruin such a lovely apartment.

Large window with an amazing view of Oban. 5 minute walk to Oban Distillery and main street. Pets allowed. Easy communication with host.
