Red lion little barn

Zeer ruim, veel faciliteiten.

Beperkte ventilatie.

Wrong contact number listed in info on arrival (belonged to a neighbour). Eventually found note on door of closed pub with new number. Worried for a while but the place turned out to be very good, comfortable with excellent facilities.

Wi-Fi connection. Wrong access information.

Well situated for the Orwell estuary. Warm and comfortable.

In places there were cobwebs and dust on surfaces. All three blinds were broken which meant we couldn’t use them. Road noise was intrusive despite it being located on a B road. When we arrived, some crockery was left on the drainer. The outside light didn’t work. There was no vacuum cleaner. We were only there for 2 nights but these things would have become a real problem.

A very warm welcome. Spacious and comfortable accommodation. We both enjoyed a great night's sleep.

Accommodation was very comfortable, great shower, spacious, private & warm. Pub was not open for the 2 days of our stay, so we went to the local tea shop which was perfect! Dinner on the first night at the pub was delicious (free Sunday Roast potatoes were also being offered as snacks). The other pub was great for dinner on the night the Red Lion was closed.

There were a few dusty corners but the rooms did feel and look clean.

A few days before arrival I rang the property/owner to ask how we got the jey to get in. No answer on 3 calls. I also emailed the contact -again no reply. When we got there we finally spoke to the contact who told us the code number for the access panel. Didn't work! Eventually someone from the pub next door (same owners) arrived with a key

Attention to detail and good quality equipment for example Bosh oven and dishwasher

Could have been cleaner, floor sweeps better and less dust

Location and space in the apartment was great but lacked finer details

It smelt of mould, not very clean and lacked supplies eg. coffee and tea

We stayed at the Red Little Barn accommodation at the Red Lion pub in Chelmondiston and were really disappointed. The place felt rundown and not well looked after – the lampshades were falling apart, blinds were damaged, and the floor was in need of a proper clean. It also wasn’t stocked very thoughtfully (not even a couple of wine glasses!). Overall, it didn’t feel welcoming or comfortable, which made our stay quite disappointing.
