"Avoid - stay elsewhere for better hospitality. By far the worse B&B we stayed in during the week."

My wife and I were driving around Sicily spending one night per B&B/Hotel and Catania was our third night's stay. We arrived earlier than expected and tried to contact the owner via WhatsApp without success, so we hung around Catania for a while. Parking was definitely an issue and I asked the owner who was not helpful. A local informed me that as it was (Easter) Bank Holiday, parking on the street (in the blue squares) was free. Would have been nice if the owner said this to me and save much stress. We didnt meet the owner of this B&B. I did receive a message saying that the cafe was closed (due to the bank holiday!) and that breakfast would be left in the common area. This area stank of sewer smell badly, and the 'breakfast' was a joke. To make matters worse the hot water dribbled from the shower so I couldnt enjoy a shower. Room was OK not brilliant not bad. Owner was a ghost. Very poor customer service. Would not recommend.
