Big Daddy´s Surfcamp

The family running this homestay are incredible. The vibe of this place amongst the family as well as the other guests, is second to none. Everyone there is stoked to be surfing in such a beautiful location. Value of the room matches the room. Rooms are basic but all you need for a surfing stay. I extended twice, and a lot of my fellow travelers who I met there also extended. I took surf lessons most days through Big Daddys and the instructors Edo and Anh were very knowledgeable, incredible surfers themselves and I learnt a lot. I highly recommend this place especially if traveling solo as you easily make friends with other solo travelers here.

Das Zimmer ist klein aber Fein. Die Leute sind äusserst freundlich und unkompliziert. Wir haben spontan ein grossen BBQ mit der ganzen Gruppe und KingKongs Famillie gemacht.

Untuk kunci pintu terkadang sulit dibuka, sama keran air yg otomatisnya katanya masih rusak. Tapi bukan masalah besar kokk overall nyaman enak sangatt rekomen

My girlfriend and I traveled for a month in Indonesia, and Red Island along with Big Daddy’s Surfcamp was our favorite part of the entire trip. We stayed for a week, and honestly, we could have easily stayed two more. The vibe of the whole place is unbeatable. From the moment you arrive, you feel like part of a small family — both with the locals running the camp and the other guests staying in the house. This is exactly how a surf house should be. We’re now back home and already wishing we could return. Do yourself a favor and book at least a week here! P.S. We booked a few surf lessons with Aan to improve our surfing, and he was an excellent teacher. If you’re looking for surf guiding or lessons, we strongly recommend him.
