Large Central Apartment - free nearby parking

The apartment was situated in a very good location next to the university and to the Philharmonic, which met our needs very well for graduation. It offered free permit parking which was a real bonus as we had to come by car.

This property is not for the faint hearted in terms of cleanliness and smells. We were very disappointed initially by the cleanliness and disrepair of the access to the property as it was located next to a takeaway and a restaurant (dirty used gloves on the floor, general rubbish and paper everywhere, dirty smelly extractor fans next to the door, holes in the floor which were filled in with big rocks, old bottles and food wrappers everywhere, etc). On one occasion we had to get into the property via the fully insecure back access as we couldn't access the security side gate because, despite the code working for this, the door was blocked by an added lock - there we found an overflowing skip and rubbish including used panty pads all over the floor. The entrance and stairs to the property smelled of rodent urine. Inside the property the windows did not close properly and the kitchen windows were held together with a cable tie. There were stains on the furniture and the floor had not been completely hoovered. The hook to keep the door back in the bathroom fell out of the wall. The coffee machine did not work. There was a leak under the kitchen sink. The loo brush holder was filthy and had not been cleaned. All bedding smelt musty. Road noise was a problem as we could not close the windows. There was bird poo all over the balcony area, the drain area there was filled with old cigarette butts and there were weeds growing in cracks in the cement. We were also contacted by the host during our stay to ask if the cleaners could get into a cupboard in the entrance hall to get something as they did not have any extra keys which disrupted our graduation day as we had to respond to messages, take a call and then organise this taking place. We were very disappointed in this stay as we feel that the accommodation was very poor and very expensive, and not value for money (£360 for 2 nights) - it would have been better spent at the Hope Street Hotel!

Location is perfect, and apartment was very spacious a clean. Nice little balcony to have access to a cold breeze on hot day. Slight issue with property alarm going off, host was easily contactable.

The location is hidden down a alleyway, this is secure but not the cleanest, a stench of piss was apparent. We had a pram which had to navigate a little debris to property. It should be noted that property is accessed via flight of stairs.

The host was exceptional, we had many issues and he did his best to rectify them quickly. I like the open plan of the house and the if the host did more with the balcony it could be a great asset.

It could have been cleaner, I received a message from the host asking to make sure we clean up etc so I was expecting a very clean flat but the flat was not the cleanest so unsure why this was sent. There was a lot of stuff hanging around and not tidied away. A lot of the windows would not close which was fine when we stayed as it was very hot but if it had been cold outside it would have been an issue. If the host gave this flat a bit of loving care and attention it could be a fantastic place to stay. I would not book this again unless there was some major changes.

I loved the location and how easy it was to access the apartment. All the information and instructions from the host was simple and easy to follow. Very clean and spacious. Will definitely be staying again.

Great apartment, top location, helpful host and free coffee! Parking just 2x minutes walk away. Accessing the property was a bit strange but with how clear the instructions were we entered without any problems. We will be back in Liverpool in the summer and hope to stay here again!!

Spacious, lovely little balcony with lots of light, well equipped kitchen utensils, also tea coffee sugar and basic essentials to aid cooking a meal, bottle of wine and beer on arrival, lovely host
