GBBeautiful, quaint little cottage. Stunning views and such a great location. Only a short stroll into the centre. Bed was very comfortable with good quality linens. Kitchen was very well equipped and it was nice to see tea, coffee and sugar was provided, too. The bottle in the fridge, upon our arrival, was a very thoughtful and appreciated surprise. The cottage was super clean throughout. It was great having the bistro table and chairs outside, too - morning coffee and admiring the view was enjoyed here.
There really wasn't anything we didn't like. I would recommend this property very highly to anyone wanting a stay in Bakewell.
GBSelf catering but we ate out whilst in Bakewell. Location was great, far enough away from traffic but just a short walk from the centre of town. The cottage was just the right size for two people, compact and cosy. The bedroom was lovely, the bed very comfy.
Maybe a coffee machine in the kitchen? A bath mat, rather than a slatted board to stand on after a shower or bath.
GBOur recent stay at the Coach House was superb. Bright, airy, very clean and adequately equipped, it is perfect for a couples stay. Short 5 min, downhill, walk to the centre of Bakewell, which means does mean an uphill walk back. Hosts were easily contactable and rectified an issue we had with the TV very quickly. Would definitely recommend this cottage for a stay to explore Bakewell and beyond. The bottle of Prosecco in the fridge on arrival was a lovely, welcoming touch.
The staircase to the upstairs is quite steep, wasn’t a problem for us but might be for some. The cottage is close to a church, when we arrived it was bell ringing practice night and the bells rang continually for a couple of hours non-stop early evening. They also rang every hour throughout the night.
