A loved the whole lay out it was so spacious their were good places to walk the dog

The hot tub a was really looking forward too but we never got to enjoy it as their were a lot of wasp every time we went in they were just everywhere

Great wee stay. Local location, perfect for a wee getaway.

Lodges could do with a big TLC, cobwebs etc on windows.

The lodge was perfect in itself, providing 2 bedrooms so we were able to bring my disabled son as accessibility was pretty good. We enjoyed the hot tub and decking.. the stay in itself was peaceful.

The cleanliness was absolutely diabolical. This actually made me think twice about staying. Dog hairs everywhere when we arrived we had no dog with us. The table and chair you sit to eat were covered also the sofa was covered. There was still toothpaste from the last visitors on the tap and mirror in the bathroom. I ended up getting my own cleaning supplies and did a once over myself as the cleaner was not coming until the morning and I could not sleep in the conditions knowing there was dog hairs everywhere. On the cleaner arriving the next morning I was shocked at being faced with the straight up truth when she told me she knew she hadn’t cleaned it properly that the day before she was just really tired so she didn’t do all the cleaning. That really really had me questioning what sort of service was being offered when a colleague of the owner was telling me she knew the conditions we were handed this lodge in. That I feel was extremely unprofessional and embarrassing.

The property has potential to be an amazing place to stay. It’s a quiet and lovely area, the property feels very private. It was a good size for a family of 4. The hot tub was great. The staff and owner are great. When I arrived, I was concerned about how clean the property was. The site manager came to see me straight away and the next day the property was cleaned.

The property is slightly run down and needs a bit of tlc. For the price I paid, I expected a bit of a higher standard. However, it looks like they are trying to do this with a new kitchen and I could see work happening outside. Overall, I would stay here again but not for the amount I paid to stay for 3 nights.

The location was very pretty and the inside of the cabin was relatively clean. The carpet and curtains appeared newly replaced. The bedding and bath towels appeared clean.

It was a very basic wooden structure, like a shed, rather than a ‘cabin’. It smelt of damp - unsurprisingly as there’s no bathroom extraction. Opening the velux means a rain of dried bird droppings and debris into the room. The shower was either scalding or freezing, regardless of adjustment, and water pressure was poor. The outside space was filthy. The decking/furniture was caked in bird droppings. There were a lot of birds (which was nice) but we looked at other decks and they were scrubbed. Windows also really dirty outside. We were too concerned about disease to use the hot tub. There was some kind of black dirt in it and I couldn’t get even a whiff of chlorine- so no idea how well maintained it was. The lid was also caked in debris and bird poop. The tea towel had dried food on it. We paid for two nights but left after one night as it was just not for us. Description said fireplace - so we expected a wood burner at least. It was just an electric fire. A balcony? No. Spacious - it was tiny. It said luxury - a bit of gold on curtains and a fancy lampshade might be someone’s idea of luxury but it isn’t ours. I feel misled and am out of pocket as had to find last minute accommodation elsewhere. Never saw any staff.

The location is great. When you are in the hot tub all you can hear are birds and sitting under the trees, watching the sun go down, was magical. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept well. The bathroom, kitchen and bedrooms were clean as were the towels and bedding. It was great having a dishwasher.

A few niggles and a lack of attention to detail. On the whole the cabin was clean but there was an abundance of cobwebs round the windows and lights, behind the couch was very bad. I know you can’t do anything about the trees shedding resin, especially as the weather has been very dry but everything outside was very sticky. It hadn’t been cleaned for a while. Also the decking needed a good sweep. If an outside cloth and brush had been provided we could have cleaned them and used the outside chairs. We were disappointed that there was only one mug, there were cups though. Teabags were provided but there was no coffee. Also there was a cracked glass in the cupboard.

It’s nice lodge and good location

Although it’s nice lodge it wasn’t really clean. When we arrived the hot tub water temperature was only 19C and we knew that there was no chance that water could 40C on that day. We didn’t want to waste our time as that’s what we paid for and went to hot tub later on on that day but water wasn’t hot enough and it wasn’t pleasant especially it was a cold night. We send message to host and only said they had to refilled it etc. but they should do it a good few hours before our arrival

Had everything we needed - nice bathroom, nice kitchen, comfortable beds. Great TV package Hot tub a great addition

Lack of staff present at check in/check out

Good size property in a lovely quiet area. Loved the hot tub and we were so lucky with the weather and had lots of time to enjoy it. Generally we managed with everything there and enjoyed some of the things to do in the local area.

Could do with some extra bits in the kitchen including oven trays and a fish slice. We could have also used a dish towel and extra towels for using the hot tub.
