Tranquil Msida Creek 1-Bedroom Apartments & Penthouse

Upon arrival, we immediately noticed the extremely unhygienic condition. The apartment was clearly not cleaned: hair all over the floor, stained walls, dirty cabinet doors, and grease marks. Kitchen utensils, the oven, and the stove were heavily soiled and partially rusted, making many items unusable. The cleaning supplies were damaged or rusted, forcing us to clean everything manually. The sofa, advertised as a “sofa bed,” was covered with brown stains. In the bathroom, we found mold on the ceiling and silicone joints, a rusty shower, a broken showerhead, and a filthy toilet brush. Additionally, the window was almost coming out of its frame. The wardrobe drawer was broken, bedside lamps didn’t work, the drying rack was unstable, and the clothespins broke immediately. A serious safety issue also occurred: we and other residents were locked out for hours, and no one responded to emergency calls. The door had to be broken open and remained open for a week, allowing anyone to enter. After repair, the door broke again and stayed open for days. On top of that, there was an ant infestation: ants invaded cupboards, food, and even our beds, crawling on us at night. Our biggest concern is the massive mold in the air conditioning unit, which we discovered only after 4.5 weeks—after using it continuously. This could explain our persistent headaches and coughing fits. We reported all issues; apart from receiving a new pan, casserole dish, and broom, as well as a superficial attempt to clean the sofa, almost nothing was fixed. For the mold in the air conditioner, only the filter was replaced—the mold is still there!

1. Los números de desbloqueo de la puerta no funcionaban. Todo el rato tuvimos que andar con las llaves. 2. Había hormigas a casco porro, si dejabas algo de comida en la basura más de 2 horas se te llenaba de hormigas todo, y las veías en las dos habitaciones. 3. La fregona estaba rota.

We booked this apartment for 3 people, but it was clearly not suited for more than 2. The place was tiny, filthy, and in poor condition. The sofa bed had a huge brown stain, the walls were scuffed, and the curtains were bizarrely “glow in the dark.” The terrace seating had some kind of burnt, unidentifiable residue, and the AC was full of mold, which made us sick by the 3rd day. Despite paying a cleaning fee, we were told to clean the apartment and follow the trash schedule, yet no cleaning supplies (like a mop or spray) were provided. Next door, there was daily construction noise from early morning. The entire building even experienced a lockout due to both electric and manual key failure. We were assured this would be fixed during our stay, but it wasn’t, forcing us to leave the door unlocked all week. I also messaged the host about the state of the apartment; he promised to look into it but never followed up. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing and uncomfortable stay.

Water pipe broke, I had no water until fixed. Overnight and morning with no water 30th June 2025. Also I had no electricity in my flat 4 from 16th July to 18th July. Numerous emails and numerous phone calls till fixed, I had to move my belongings to another flat temporarily as there was no indication of time frame till my power was restored, I have cancer and I got quite sick in the heat going from room to room waiting for assistance and not knowing where I could lie down to rest, as I was told I only had flat 8 for the one night and the cleaners were to clean the room for new guests arriving. All my food and meals including fresh fruit and vegetables,dairy and cold meats had gone off and I lost 2 days of my important holiday after 20 years. I was in Msida for my Mothers Anniversary and also to visit all my relatives and friends at this sad time.

La réactivité et disponibilité du personnel en cas de besoin, le bus au pied de l'immeuble qui mène directement à La Valette en 15 minutes

La chaleur dans le salon ( climatisation seulement dans la chambre, impossible de dormirsur le canapé), la vaisselle et les ustensiles de cuisine en nombre limité et dont la propreté laisse à désirer, l'invasion de fourmis le dernier jour, les petits vers rouges quand on prend la douche, la salle de bain pas très propre, le fonctionnement des poubelles pas très clair, l'absence d'information sur les alentours (supermarchés)...

Convenient location on bus routes. 15 min into Valetta. Kitchen facilities were adequate and also had a washing machine. Also good aircon, which was essential as couldn’t open the windows as they opened directly to the footpath.

The wifi didn’t work. The walls were dirty. Bed was uncomfortable. Never received the instructions for accessing the room so initial access was a problem

There was a very comfortable bed, close to Lidl and public transport to get to the center

unfortunately the cleanliness leaves much to be desired. There was a lot of sand on the floor, a greasy stove and dishes, everything was sticky! the sofa in the living room, the sockets were dirty

Suggestion to avoid this apartment building. We was staying 3 people, only on third day got extra blanket. Heating wasn’t working. When we arrive flat was dirty and smelly. Dishes dirty, sheets, towels. Strong smell in duvets and pillows. Flat door broken. Owner send a cleaner but for inconvenience discomfort no compensation our sorry. Flat doesn’t look like in a pics. Be careful with this.
