Penthouse in the sky

The location

It was filthy and roach infested! The furniture was pealing. The stove was full of grease. The windows were filthy. The balcony was filthy. I checked out a day early and submitted a response Saturday talking about this disaster of a Penthouse. Someone needs to refund my money! I paid over $1,000.00 for this nasty place! I’ve stayed at better motels! This was the most embarrassing place I have ever taken anyone and myself. My contact number is 443-831-0191

The gym was closed but when we booked we were told that is would be open. The apartment is outdated and during our stay there were construction workers outside on the balcony everyday with noise and dirt.

The location right on the beach is actually very nice. The equipment of the kitchen was OK, even if some small things were missing. Everything was pretty clean. The walk to the beach is very short. The pool is fine.

The building is already old and spoiled. The photos are deceiving. The air conditioning is incredibly loud (and be sure: you will need it). Many employees (check-in, security, etc.) are stressed and unfriendly. There is a friendly but very chaotic park valet service, where you sometimes have to wait half an hour for the car. The shops in the building are totally overpriced. The nearest supermarket is far away. But the absolute no-go: Instead of the booked penthouse we were offered an apartment on the ground floor one day before arrival (!), because the penthouse had to be renovated "surprisingly". We were told that this apartment was an upgrade. What a scam! The replacement had almost no view of the sea, and there was also construction noise from the neighboring apartment during the week from morning to evening, which probably had to be renovated just as "surprisingly". We had agreed to the exchange on the condition that we would receive a 10% reduction. We got the reduction after our vacation - but only after a few weeks of ignoring our reminders, only after threatening with the lawyer and involving Booking several times. In addition, we were only refunded about 8%. What a shameful customer service. Some tenants have already experienced the same thing, including here on Booking. So please: Don't book this penthouse - you probably won't get it! If you want to get ripped off, give it a try.

I wouldn't say I didn't like this but I wish the description of the sofa beds was clarified. It was 2 sofas that converted into more of a futon not a pullout sleeper sofa. Wasn't as comfortable as sleeper sofa because it didn't have mattress but we made it work!!!

Repairs and upgrades needed in the penthouse, in general the whole complex is aged

Superb view and right on the beach. Comfortable and ample space. Nice communication with host.

Gym was trash - old and broken equipment. Cot in room was not usable. 2 of the 3 TVs didn’t work. Photos seemed to suggest otherwise but there are exactly two rooms where you can sleep - there is nowhere to sleep outside the bedrooms. The living area is all windows with no curtains and the couches aren’t for sleeping. We stayed for 5 days but they only stocked supplies for 2 days - be sure to bring your own toilet paper, paper towels, extra bath towels.

Good afternoon, I would like to make a complaint about bad service, first we had rented PH1 and they sent us to apartment M16 without notifying us, they simply made the change, in this apartment the shower did not work and the elevator on the floor did not work, we had to go downstairs suitcases up 3 flights of stairs, for this reason I requested a refund because the M16 did not work completely

Great location, outstanding beach, all required shops and services are in the building.

Was a little dated. i.e. mirrors, vanity cabinet, fixtures. Poor paint job & bad ceiling patches\paint... I think "penthouse" & think the best of the best, slightly disappointed in the details. But overall very happy with the accommodations...
