"Peaceful retreat well located for town and museum"

Very good hotel. Calm, quiet. Located about 1½ km from the town centre and the same distance from the museum of rock engravings. It is next to the Miradouro and wooded picnic area of Santa Barbara. Pleasant husband and wife team. I'm vegan and they especially bought some vegan "cheese" for me. I stayed in the deluxe double room with balcony. It is a dual aspect room with balcony on two sides. Fine views out over to the mountains. Decent size. Shutters kept out the light. Wifi worked. Good shower in big bathroom. Breakfast good in a pleasant bright room. There is also an agreeable common sitting room.

Beste Unterkunft auf unserer Portugal-Reise 2026. Das Haus in Alleinlage auf einem Hügel ausserhalb des Ortes. Atemberaubender Blick. Sehr hochwertig eingerichtete geräumige Zimmer. Grosses Wohnzimmer für die Gäste. Sehr gepflegtes Haus inmitten von Weinbergen und Olivenhain. Sehr individuelle Betreuung durch die Gastgeber. Bestes Frühstück ever! Vielen Dank, wir kommen wieder!

A lovely surprise in the countryside! Beautiful property to walk and smell the roses. Excellent breakfast and very nice and helpful owners, gave us a great recommendation for dinner.
