Apartment in downtown Reykjavik - Birta Rentals

It's great value for money, close to the bus stop, and convenient for getting to Keflavik Airport. The house is quiet and comfortable. The heating is sufficient, so it's not cold. The room is spacious enough that you won't feel cramped even after spending a whole day there. It's also not far from the city center; you can walk there. It's suitable for two people traveling together who can cook their own meals.

The shower water keeps leaking out, making it easy to get your feet wet and cold. The dining room lighting would be better if it were brighter; I prefer dining in a well-lit environment. The current lighting is sufficient and creates a warm atmosphere, but having more lighting options would always be helpful. There are two rather hidden electrical outlets near the kitchen sink; I suggest the landlord add a sticker to guide them.

Quiet area.

The apartment was poorly equipped, e.g. there was NO TV SET, no baking tins, no tea cups, etc. The insulation between the bathroom and the living room was so poor that we could hear every sound coming from the bathroom. The lighting was not enough, and the room was semi-dark all the time. The host was not helpful at all, and when we asked him an important question, he didnt answer us at all. Don't recommend!

The location was excellent for us. In a v quiet residential part of town but only a few 100 m from the cathedral with restaurants and a mini supermarket within easy reach. the apartment had everything we needed and the washing machine and dishwasher worked well. we appreciated the free parking space. Communication with the host was excellent although we never saw them. The heating was excellent (except for the bathroom). We appreciated this as we arrived in a snow storm.

The bathroom radiator didnt work and the shower was leaky. The dining chairs were a bit spartan.
