Appartement Calodyne - calme & proche plage

L'emplacement est très bien au calme

La piscine n'est plus fonctionnel problème de pompe. La cuisine très sale j'ai du tout lavé moi même. Les lits sont inconfortable et la salle de bain n'était pas propre.

Great location as number of beaches are all within 10 min drive and Calodyne has a small supermarket just 5 min walk from the apartment. Very quiet and peaceful location, yet only about 15min from Grand Baie which has numerous places to eat, shops and popular beach. We have traveled and stayed in many rented properties over last 10 yrs, and this was one of the best in terms of value for money, cleanliness, location and comfort. Only time we had to contact the owner was when the bathroom light stopped working, but the owner was very responsive and had an electrician over to fix it within hours.

The beds were not the most comfortable I have slept in, the mattress been quiet hard and rigid. The security gate to the compound that the property is within did not work and was left permanently open, but the area is one of the safest on the island, and we had nothing that concerned us during our one week stay.

-The area is not ideal for a tourist from my point of view, as there did not seem to be much to do and one needs a car to get around, which I didn’t have. -Very noisy bed, though sleeping solo & turning the bed would make a noise and the mattress is uncomfortable. Sometimes I could feel the springs. -Some facilities were not clean and I had to clean them. -Beautiful pool, but difficult to use cause it was full of insects and nobody seems to clean the pool. -I forgot my swimming shorts at the apartment and 24 hours later when I called, you said nobody had seen them. I would’ve booked the place again for a few weeks as it’s ideal to work from. The latter point about the swimming trunk put me off because they were not in my suitcase, when I arrived at my next destination, so I could only have left them at this apartment where I last wore them. However, it is not the owners problem of fault that I forgot my stuff there and I take full responsibility for my forgetfulness.

Great place, quiet and peaceful. There are a few insects (ants), but they are everywhere on the island. There are all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Air conditioners in every room.
