"An interesting apartment with a historical background in a quiet back street near sea front"

Holiday apartment on three levels in a quiet back street in Scarborough, 5 minutes to the sea front. It was okay for our needs and the interaction with the "owner" (I assume) was without issues via email. I did not meet him (her?) at all. The kitchen was well equipped with utensils and appliances (though some of the utensils were a little greasy, perhaps they had not been washed properly from the last use?).

Off-street parking available but grass/mud, and rather tight to get in and out with a longer vehicle. The WiFi network name did not match with the password provided. We found the router manually (in a small cupboard in the hallway near the kitchen downstairs) and used the information on it, which luckily worked. The soundproofing leaves a little to be desired if you are sensitive to noise at night. You can hear people talking in other rooms (directly upstairs or downstairs). This could be a result of the way the conversion from a church was performed.

Fantastic property with everything needed for a few days away for a family of 5. The location was perfect for accessing Scarborough’s attractions. Joe was extremely helpful and contactable even though our trip was over the Christmas holiday. We would definitely stay here again if we were to return to Scarborough.

What's not to like about the apartment at Church House. It more than met our expectations. There were six of us staying and everything we needed for cooking our meals was there, we socialised in both the large dining room and the lovely lounge. The place was immaculate, is well designed and set in a central location we couldn't believe how lucky we were, 5 minutes walk from the seafront and 2 minutes from shops, bars and restaurants. I would definitely recommend the Church House apartment and the lovely, friendly host Joe to anyone wanting to visit and stay in Scarborough. I will be coming back soon.

There wasn't one thing to dislike, there wasn't anything missing during our weekend break.
