It was in a beautiful area, very close to the beach, good facilities, big rooms, big bed very comfortable

I think in the off season the location leaves very little to do but it was really beautiful

Die direkte Strandlage und die großzügige Wohnung im 1. Obergeschoss mit sehr großem Balkon haben uns außerordentlich gut gefallen. Koffer kann man am besten von der Straße aus hochtragen. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis und Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war top. Fahranfänger sollten den Ort aufgrund der vielen Serpentinen jedoch meiden.

Wir waren Anfang Oktober dort und es gab leider keine Liegen mehr was bei einem Kiesstrand von Vorteil wäre. Aber es gab noch einen sehr schönen Sandstrand in unmittelbarer Nähe wo wir ausweichen konnten.

We stayed in the apartment on the 1st floor, which is large, well-equipped, with a kitchen, fridge and everything you need. The balcony overlooks the sea and has a very beautiful view. The accommodation is right on the beach. The sea is nice and warm. There is a mini market a little above the accommodation which is well stocked and there are a few tavernas where you can eat excellently. As others have said, there is not much to do in this location, but for us this was excellent, because that is what we wanted. The owners were nice to us and we felt welcome. The road to the accommodation is quite difficult, both on the way down and on the way up, because of the steep serpentines. Thank you for a nice stay!

L'appartamento è molto ampio con terrazzo che si affaccia sulla spiaggia e le taverne sottostanti. Tutti i servizi funzionano perfettamente e la famiglia di Zacharias è molto accogliente.

Alcuni dettagli migliorabili tipo qualche accessorio della cucina per chi vuole mangiare in casa e il rubinetto del bagno da cui usciva poca acqua

The time we were there the apartment was serviced by the old mother of the owner who did her best to make us feel comfortable, being very friendly and even offering some fruits. Just going down the stairs you have direct access to the beach and few nice restaurants.

I stayed there with my old mother and my brother, but the apartment would fit better for a couple as the access leads directly to the bedroom through which you can reach the living room (witn the sofa bed) and the kitchen - without any door in between. The apartment isn't well equipped and as his mother only speaks Greek we always had to call the owner if anything basic was missing. Then his mother tried her best to find what we needed. The beach is nice but the water gets deep quickly - so not comfortable with small children or elderly people who have a bit difficulty to move.

It‘s the kindest and the most friendly Host I have ever met. The best location and 5-star sea-view from the apartment. The information written by guests from Canada ist just a lie. The rooms in the apartments are huge and cool. The conditioning is working properly and I was even freezing in the night. Refrigerator keeps on working when you leave the apartment. It has good furniture and a tough of a Greek style. Beds are comfortable. Huge refrigerator that is important to keep all the soft drinks cool. Walk-in shower. Big dining table. You can also eat on the terrace. It’s has everything you need (view/ furniture/fresh air). Have you ever seen an apartment on the beach? You just step out of the house and you are already staying on the beach! Zacharias, his mother and the whole family are just extremely nice and friendly people. The mother of the host was giving my baby some home made food every day, was playing with him. And she always, always were smiling to him and supporting him. You can wash your laundry either in the apartment or in the summer kitchen of a host. A supermarket with a lot of great food is 10 meters away from the back door of the house. There are nice restaurants and cafes just 1 minute away from the Appartement. If you want to eat Fisch -go to Marinella. The water in the sea is incredible!!! No l kopp löwää

Everything was great and left a warm feeling of a family

This is a truly isolated piece of Crete (2 restaurants/2cafes/200 meter hot black ROCK beach). We booked it for a relaxing “tourist” traveler visit to Crete for 9 nights – expecting seaside beach, a mix of restaurants and cooking light brunches at the unit, a bit of touristy sightseeing on Cretan culture - we got NONE of that. In the apartment, several issues (some major, some workable) I will highlight here: • Small air conditioning unit over the bed that left the living room kitchen bathroom all hot and muggy. The bedroom was still hot through the night as the hot air circulated throughout the apartment and the small a/c unit did not cool and circulate the air even in the bedroom. • Unit key must be removed when leaving the unit so all electrics are off for the duration – the fridge was off (spoiling foods) and air conditioning off so had to reenter a HOT and musty room each time. • On arrival the fridge was disconnected. Took some time but apt mgr finally "found" the plugs and switches (we would not have discovered the switch panels) • Microwave didn't work; didn't bother to try the stove • Room is listed as apartment accommodations for 4 people and 4 beds there is 1 double bed and 2 sofas (not sofa beds) without any A/C there • Listing says TV – none on site • Listing says washing machine and dryer – none in unit • Apt is for 4 people – no linen for 4 (1 sheet on bed) • For 9-night stay, had 2 towels & 2 hand towels – with it so hot in the room were taking 3-4 showers each! Had to hand wash towels for us • Wifi: dodgy at best in one far corner near the hallway entry. Better wifi with the separate restaurant downstairs • Shower area  no shower handle so you have to hold the hose and somehow shower with one hand  shower hoping you don’t slip on the tiles as there is no safety rail to hold onto  water pools in the shower and overflows to the sink and toilet area  water temperature is warm to scalding.

This beachside apartment was a disaster on so many levels (see above) Of course, I cannot recommend this location unless the concerns raised (safety/hot stuffy room/isolated/no access to taxis/etc) are not an issue for you. This was such a disappointment that we cut out stay short – ended up forfeiting the paid fees. We discussed the issues with owner's reps and stayed for 3 days waiting for resolution. We should have left on arrival. On arrival at the apartment hotel, no one in the town had heard of “Seaside Beach Apt” – and no one spoke any English so our taxi driver was asking around – he spent nearly 45 minutes looking for the place! In the end, he found it but only after discovering the name has changed (and to this day no one has been able to tell me what the NEW name is - LOL). We had unit on 2nd floor - the hallway light (on short timer) went off and the older lady escorting us to our room fell onto the steps (speaking no English, she eeked out “big problem”). No kidding! The lights out and no handrail on the steps until you ascend to the 3rd floor! The light switch is at the bottom and top of stairs – without a motion detector you have to go back down to switch the light on and hope to make it up a flight before it goes off leaving you in pitch dark. Definite safety issues begging for a serious accident. There is nothing to do in the area. And expect to speak Greek if you need anything. For an apartment stay where you hope to spend extended time (for us it was 9 nights) there is no grocery store in the area (need car). And there are no taxis in the area! To leave and go to Heraklion for a new booking we made for the remaining 6 days, we spent over 5 hours (no joke) online and discussing with locals for a taxi! Expect taxi from this Apt to Heraklion to run 250-350 euros +.
