On a positive note, the layout of the house was good, and once cleaned, it was a comfortable space. However, due to the numerous issues especially with cleanliness, safety, misleading advertising, and lack of support from the rental company I would not choose to stay here again. I've stayed in many villas in Florida, and I’ve never encountered problems like these before.

Disappointing Stay Poor Cleanliness and Lack of Maintenance On arrival, the villa was in an unacceptable state of cleanliness. The sheets were visibly soiled, with bodily fluids and hair still on them, indicating they had not been washed. The towels were in a similar condition. Although we were offered a cleaning service, we had already unpacked and felt uncomfortable having people come in while our belongings were out, so we ended up doing the cleaning ourselves. The broom provided was too dirty to use, though a replacement was brought when I raised the issue. I also had to purchase batteries for a chirping fire alarm and cleaning supplies myself, with no offer of reimbursement for these essential items. Safety and maintenance were also serious concerns: The back door did not have a secure lock and could be pulled open from the outside. The pool net was broken, leading to constant bugs, frogs, and other creatures entering the pool. The pool filter seemed ineffective, and there was a green sludge buildup around the edges. Outdoor bins were not secure, leading to nightly messes caused by raccoons. We even had to call the police at 1:30 AM one night due to someone attempting to enter the property. The listing advertised a lakefront view with fishing access, which was a major reason we booked. However, the lake is completely obstructed from view, and fishing from the property is not possible. We contacted the rental company about this beforehand and received no reply. This was incredibly disappointing and misleading, especially for the fishing enthusiasts in our group who had to walk daily to a local dock. Towards the end of our stay, we faced complaints from neighbors claiming we were trespassing—despite simply accessing a community dock via public paths. Ironically, one neighbor allowed their dog to defecate right outside the pool area of this villa, which seemed to be ignored.
