Hedgehog Cottage with garden in Bronte village!

It stated had undeflooring heating but didn't appear to have and it was very cold on arrival

I loved the fact that all the main boutique shops, pubs, the church and parsonage were literally a stones throw away from the cottage. The cottage itself is cosy and compact and has everything one needs for a comfortable stay. The bed in the back bedroom was very comfortable and gave a good nights sleep. The chairs were also very comfortable, however if 4 people were staying, there are only 3 lounge chairs to sit on which could be a bit of an issue. The hosts, Liz and Andy went above and beyond to sort out a minor issue whilst we were there, which was very reassuring. We appreciated the bottle of good quality wine also as a little welcome.

There were a couple of things which were out of the control of the hosts, the ‘free’ parking is now not technically free, in order to park in the nearby privately owned car park, you need to buy a book for £10 for 3 days from the owner, and then get parking. Because we stayed for 4 nights, we had no option other than to buy 2 books for £20. However, it is still probably cheaper than staying in the local authority owned car parks, many of which are not 24 hours. I also disliked the bathroom being downstairs, but this was listed on the property description. It made it awkward for coming downstairs in the middle of the night or showering and having to go upstairs to dress. These minor points however did not detract from a lovely stay at Hedgehog Cotttage.

Superb location, we stepped out of the front door each morning to see the top of the cobbled hill! Great little lounge area, perfect for relaxing in after a busy day out & about. Parking very close by & easy to sort, Ted is on the ball with it all! Be sure to check out the Old Post Office for drinks & small plates (fish cakes were amazing!) We also had breakfast at Cobbles & Clay - very friendly cafe!
