Bit of finding your way around and to the appartement, but that is part of discovering new surroundings.

Though I never met the owner in person, I know from staying in her lovely summer apartment, that she is very patient, helpful, generous and has excellent taste. The spacious, spotless airy home is very thoughtfully equipped and the building ( with a lift) is very quiet. The seafront road is beautiful and there are restaurants and shops. The view is a delight and I was very comfortable. It is vital to note that this apartment is in a gated area built on an extremely steep hill. If you are arriving by cab make sure your driver waits for you as you retrieve the keys from the lockbox and takes you through the gate and down the treacherous incline to the apartment building. S/he will have to wait until you get up to the apartment and use the phone-like intercom system to open the gate and let them out again. It will be less complicated if you are driving yourself. The environs of the apartment are not suited to pedestrians with mobility issues.

This is not a complaint, just a note to be aware of the terrain as the hills are very steep coming and going to the apartment. The coast road is quite walkable once you get to it.

Everything was as shown and described on Booking.com. Babs was quick to answer any of our questions, it was a pleasure to stay at Casa Cannoni, and we'll for sure go to stay there again if we go back to Messina. Loved the view!
