The Mad Hatter's Guestrooms

The location

We had a pleasant stay at Mat Hatter. The room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable, and the location is great, with the city centre within walking distance. However, there were a couple of things we did not like. The check-in process requires you to call someone to gain access, and we had some difficulty reaching anyone, which made the arrival less convenient. In the evening, we were also unable to enter through the main door. After entering the code, the next door remained locked, so we had to access the property through the garden instead.

De não ter tido wi-fi (é certo que também não pedimos a password, mas também ninguém teve a iniciativa de no-la dar). Não tem AC, mas tem uma pequena coluna de frio que funciona, é forte e acabou por ser suficiente. Algum barulho na rua à noite, mas nada de excesso,

Close to restaurants and a bus stop that takes you straight to town. Fun atmosphere, very nice amenities.

The shower splashes too much since there is no glass door making the floor slippery if not careful.

Spotlessly clean room and very quirky and cool decor

Sadly the bar was closed due to a private party so we weren’t able to enjoy the facility

The location is good, within easy walking distance of central Oxford town and the main attractions. Room was recently renovated and had a good shower.

Unfortunately our visit to Oxford coincided with a heat wave and the room on the 3rd floor did not have air conditioning so became unbearably hot. So much so that we checked out early and moved to another hotel further out.

Queens Boudoir was lovely. Beautifully decorated, spacious and really comfortable
