Hostal Casa Del Sol Comitan

The stay here in Comitan was so amazing for us. It is a small family owned hostel with so friendly stuff. The interesting thing is, that Oscar, the owner of the hostel also arrange tours to explore the nature highlights of Chiapas. We took part at a tour were we saw chiflon, a beautiful cenote and the ojo de agua. It feels like a little family trip and the overall experience was so different to other stressful tourist tours. Thank you soo much for this great stay and for all the recommendations, we hope that we can come back one day:)

Oscar est une personne vraiment très gentille qui est en plus très arrangent. Ils propose aussi des tours dans les activités du coin ( cascade El chiflon , cenote) vraiment très pratique et nous avons passé une très bonne journée avec lui. Sur place tout est propre et fonctionnel, les lits sont très confortable ect je recommande à 100%!

Petit déjeuner offert par Oscar, hôte très généreux, drôle, et toujours disponible. La chambre est très spacieuse et propre. Oscar nous a emmené faire un tour de la ville, c’est toujours un plaisir de partager des moments avec le propriétaire. La douche est très bien, eau chaude. La wifi fonctionne parfaitement et la cuisine dispose de tout les équipements nécessaires . Je recommande !

Really nice little home stay, the family were lovely and very helpful with our questions about how to get to el chiflon and Montebello

The location was very central to the big bus station and close to colectivos to various tourist attractions. Oscar and Andrea (owners), both offered to drive me places for free. In fact, Oscar drove me to a colectivo terminal for my archeological excursion and also to Tzimol for my canyoning excursion. They allowed me to take a towel with me canyoning, although the excursion promised to be pretty dirty. Oscar and Andrea are lovely, loving people and very helpful.

I had troubles understanding how the washing machine worked. It would be better to have instructions written out in English, for those of us who struggle with machinery. 😂

It's a small cosy ideally clean hotel.I' ve been travelling in Mexico for many years meeting a lot of nice people.But Oscar and his wife,the owners of the hotel, are the best people I've ever met in this country. There's a small but well equipped kitchen. I had a very comfortable modern room.Different meals are also provided in the hotel. I must say that all dishes are delicious here. My next time in Comitan will be with these wonderful people.Thank you!
