Tudor Cottage, Newby Bridge

The place was great value for money. It was really nice to have the whole place to ourselves. There were jams, cookies and more provided and it was just a really cosy place to stay. Would definitely come back.

A great location...! It was clean and tidy with everything we needed. The heating was easy to operate. Welcome goodies of milk, tea, coffee, sugar, bottled water and biscuits...and mint chocs! Perfect after our journey from Wales. Watching the wildlife in the adjacent field.

There were no instructions on how to get the TV to operate, although I did manage to fathom it out eventually...! I wrote instructions for my wife to follow when I wasn't with her...! The top 2 stairs down to a half-landing were difficult to negotiate without a hand rail to hold. There was a hand rail at the bottom which made it easy, and a similar rail at the top would have been greatly appreciated.

Absolutely delightful little cottage perfect for 2. Great location near to Windermere and surrounding fells. Plentiful parking. Private, cosy. Was lovely and warm, nicely appointed , cute electric fire with pretend flames that added to the ambience in an evening

The only ( very minor) problem we had was trying to work out the cooker job as there are no numbers on the disks so it took a while to work out which way to turn the knob to get it hot enough to boil a pan of water. Otherwise kitchen small but had everything we needed.
