Crystal Blue Hotel, Barbati, Corfu

Great size, has everything you need, especially for an extended stay. Also lots of parking space because you definitely need a car in corfu but especially barbati. Also had AC, which is good as the room got pretty warm during the day. We had a side view of the water from our balcony, and the cicadas in the trees made a beautiful relaxing sound. You feel like you're in nature. We didn't use the pool or breakfast, but it's available. And they have a bar and coffee machine open all day.

Small things, like you can't lock or unlock the door without pulling out the keycard from electricity. The water in the sinks and shower was salty, and that's not good for hair. Also, there's a glass window in the room door, and it lets this strong yellow light from outside in. So, if you like total darkness when you sleep, it's disruptive. There also aren't any cafes or supermarkets nearby so you definitely need a car to get anywhere. There's a really good but expensive restaurant 3 min walk away. It's definitely worth trying once.

Personál bol veľmi milý a ochotný. Ubytovanie bolo čisté, jedlo výborné, chutné. Lokalita tiež dobrá.

Very clean and comfortable hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff. Maria was just amazing and went out of her way to assist us. We had 2 rooms on the upper floor with a view of the sea and the garden. Rooms are spacious, they had a well equipped kitchen including a toaster and a kettle. The room had enough storage space to store our clothes and other items. The hotel provides towels for the pool area. The rooms are away from the road so it is very quiet. It’s a bit far from the beach by foot but with a car the location is very convenient, beautiful beaches and plenty of small supermarkets.

Wifi was weak sometimes.

Linos and Maria and their family took over this place in November 2024 and have worked so hard to start renovating the place and it’s really lovely. They have done a lot and there is more to do, but what they’ve done so far is amazing. The beds and bedding are high quality and so comfortable with crisp and quality bedding to match. They cleaned one rooms every other day and their parents worked tirelessly with another team to replace all the old aircon units with new ones. They even moved us to another room whilst they were doing it as it was a bit noisy. So we got an upgrade as we were there to rest our weary bones because we’re renovating our own house, so they really worked hard to make us happy. The pool is stunning! Very clean and a great temperature to cool down in. They even have beach towels cleaned and ready for you by the pool every morning. Their attention to detail is fantastic and they are all so kind and friendly! We will be back next year and look forward to seeing further improvements!

The menu was a little limited, but the food was nice. It might be good to have softer lighting in the restaurant to create a more relaxing atmosphere maybe. But I know it’s early days, so they’re probably considering all of that.
