Canberra Holidays - Mirissa

My husband and I stayed here for three nights. The outside is very clean: the pool, the restaurant as well as the floors. Also the people are very friendly and responsive on Whatsapp. They arranged a tuk tuk for us to go to Matara bus station and gave us several bottles of waters. 10min walk to the beach and city center Breakfast is basic but good. In conclusion: friendly people, clean outside, inside (bath)room could us some renovations. Not worth the price we payed (50 euros per night)

Entering the rooms, we were a bit disappointed, they could use some small renovations (see pictures). In the bathroom was a bird nest, but they removed it as soon as we asked. Also a light was flickering, which they repaired. There are a lot of holes in the walls, which is not a great combination with ants for example. When we had a lot of them, we could switch rooms. Over there, the holes were the same but you there were a lot of differences as well with the other room: this one had a closet, mosquito net and bureau.

Breakfast was amazing. The hospitality waa great too. The room was nice and big and it was very clean. The room was much bigger than others we stayed in for a similar price.

The pool wasn't very clear. The area is a bit of a walk to the main shops and beach. There was a lot of noise from construction from nearby. The room didn't have curtains and the construction men could see into the room. Also daily cleaning would be better

The room was nice and clean, there was a/c. We appreciated the pool, so you can chill at the pool when the sun is high. The breakfast was basic, but good. In the morning we had a monkey show :)

We were provided a warm welcome with fresh fruit juice. The breakfast was of European style and was pretty decent. We also had dinner at the hotel and the rates were reasonable. The host was very sweet and accommodating. Overall it was a decent stay with basic amenities like toiletries, ac, towels, hot water etc.

Great family run hotel. Very relaxed, walking distance to Merissa Beach and great food.

The staff is extremely kind and the place is pretty. Loads of greenery, a huge volleyball court and a nice pool to relax. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious.

The staff may be a bit casual regarding room service. The coffee and tea was not refilled on the 2nd day in our two night stay. The cups were taken away and never bought back, so I had to go searching for one the next morning for tea/coffee. There was a strong smell of bleach which was used to clean the bathroom on the 1st day of our stay.

Very friendly and helpful owners, excellent breakfast, amazing pool, clean rooms, hot shower, good bed. Close to the Mirissa main beach (10mim walk). Calm place and in the morning there was a cute monkey family around.

We wish we could have stayed longer.
