Nice old house.

A few hours before arriving at the accommodation, we received a message from the host that we need to pay SEK 600 (SEK 150 / person) for bed linen and towels and that we have to pay SEK 745 for cleaning or clean the apartment ourselves before leaving. We have not encountered such a principle of renting accommodation anywhere, and so far we have rented many apartments in various countries through booking.com. The linen we "rented" was not ironed or neatly folded. There was even a dead fly in one of the sheets. Towels and sheets had a stale smell. The kitchen cloth was dirty so we used our own. The shower tub was poor. The apartment was not clean enough, it seems to us that the owners do not clean the apartment at all, but the apartment is given in the condition in which it was left by the previous guests. All in all, staying in this apartment was an unpleasant experience for us and we do not recommend it to anyone.

Old house in a village outside Umeå city, shops not far away at the first junction of the 'ring road'. Spot for one car on the other side of the road, possibly with the chance to put it inside a garage but we left the car by the door as we wanted to use the block heater to warm the engine in the morning as it could have been below zero Centigrade (it was +3) and there was an electricity socket there. Owner was in contact via cellphone text message. Yes, we will keep this accommodation in mind as we will be passing through Umeå more often in the near future.

Pleasant and spacious old house in a quiet place

Spacious apartment just outside Umeå, very cozy and surrounded by nature. Annakarin and Rickard, the hosts, have been very kind and helpful, and provided us with extra kitchen supplies as we needed them. Good price compared to the average prices of Umeå and surroundings.
