Haddock Hideaway Saints Cottage

Wonderful stay, great location. Owners were very accommodating to our last-minute booking and then for extending our stay. Close to South Bay and the wonderful market hall (highly recommend for fruit, veg, bread and meat, and lovely meat pies). Also only about a 15 minute walk over to the North Bay. We cooked in quite a bit and had all the pots, pans and utensils we needed. Highly recommend and would chose to stay again.

It was fine for us but worth noting that it's an old, character property and the stairs are quite steep, plus it's a way up to the top floor - worth thinking about for those with mobility issues.

Parking permit wonderful, 2nd toilet a bonus. Ideal base to see all that Scarborough has to offer. You're situated in South beach area, getting to North beach is easy too - it can be flat and long (around costal path to catch the dolphins early) or 10-15 ,mins over the top. Bedrooms are spacious and bedding comfortable. Bathroom huge great as utility,drying space. Be prepared for steep climbs and that's not just the stairs in the property. Cobbled paths around the town so good walking shoes are ideal companions. The property has everything you need for a relaxed time away.

Getting the hang of an induction hob, was it me? Maybe. Slight issues with plumbing in the property, but resolved immediately - theres a theme - the public Toilets in Scarborough are limited, 40p or 50p tho rigged up for contact less 🤔 . Lots of shops insist on cash, be prepared.

Home from home

Location was perfect, everywhere easy to get to. The haddock hideaway felt like a home from home, plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy. All information and welcoming was 5☆

Very homely house, everything you could wish for. The location was perfect for the town centre and the beach, a nice quiet street. I spoke to Emma prior to the visit and she was so helpful and friendly and sent us a message during our stay, nothing was too much trouble, thanks for making happy memories for my foster son and granddaughter, we will be back xx

Nothing, everything was perfect. The only thing was the weather! Not a hot and sunny Scarborough but that didn't stop us from having fun.

Brilliant location and fab place to stay. The hosts, Emma and Jon, were lovely. We loved the little window into the living room from the stairs!
