Il Nido Incantato in Centro

The room looks very nice and clean, we where happily amused to find a room that is not entirely designed by Ikea or someone's late grandparents. It is a porter's flat inside a recent entirely renovated building. the works are all done with qualitative finish and products. the style and artefacts that are present give a homey touch. One can read the current time in Rome, Paris or Milan on the different clocks to keep in touch with the world. Most installed appliances (fridge, sink, dishwasher, oven, washer, dryer...) are German brands, this shows that this was not a low-budget project.

Unfortunately, the beds where not of as such good quality as the aforementioned appliances, our family is used to rest on ergonomic mattresses, pillows and bed base. The ones installed in the apartment aren't, the bed is a rather hard and thin mattress on wooden planks. the bedlinen felt a bit like paper. Since the room is located directly next to the massive oak door to the palace entrance hall, and since there is no door or curtain behind the antique entrance door to the flat, All the noises coming from the entrance hall and gate are loudly heard in the flat especially in the sofa-bed, which is right next to the door. There is also an electric motor somewhere in the building near the guest-room, running 24/7 and which produces a rather loud but very low frequency resonance. The cold white (4200K) LED illumination does nothing to create a cosy environment, therefore we've switched all the lights off.. I didn't get an internet connection during the weekend as my device doesn't support QR-code sign-in on WiFi networks, and the passkey was too complex to type.
