Sweet Dreams at Opera House Downtown

The apartment was in excellent condition and clean. It had everything we needed and more. Peter is an outstanding host, he guided us and provided us with key information since days before our arrival. He was waiting for us at the apartment when we arrived and was there with us when the taxi picked us to take us to the airport. We couldn't be more happy and we will be back soon and certainly we will be calling Peter again.

Der Unterkunft liegt im Zentrum von Budapest und ist sehr sauber und komplett ausgestattet.(Handtücher, Badetücher, Schampo, Duschgel, Mikrowelle, Kaffeemaschine inkl. Pads, Wasserkocher und ein Paar Willkommensgetränke Wasser, Saft, Wein, Bier. Riesen Lob geht an den Gastgeber Peter für tolle Gästebetreuung.

The location was great, the beds were comfortable and the host was available and friendly. The apartment had everything you would need for a comfortable stay.

The coffee maker was a brand I've never heard of and the pods were not readily available at the grocery store, nor were the ones he left very good. I would prefer a Nespresso machine that I can get my own pods and quality coffee. Pillows were not very comfortable. There were A LOT of reed diffusers, and plug-in devices which created a very strong perfume smell inside the apartment...both my friend and I had a headache the first day I think from this strong fragrance smell. I wasn't going to review this, but when I mention it to the host when he checked us out his response was defensive...so I'm not sure he will do anything about it. So if you are sensitive to these types of smells, maybe consider this before booking. The second thing I'd like to mention is that after I booked the non-refundable stay, I received a message from the host that said I would either need to bring cash payment or do a bank transfer to pay for the accomodation...both of which were inconvenient. I paid cash at arrival. Then I noticed on the day we checked out, the host cancelled our reservation...the only reason I can think of that he would do this is to try and avoid paying the booking.com fee. This felt a bit under-handed to me. It also made more sense that he had few reviews...if he is cancelling the reservations after-the-fact. Also, please note... the apartment is on the 1st floor (which requires you to walk up one flight of stairs...there is not an elevator). The host was nice to carry our bags up when he met us to check us in...but upon checkout, we had to carry our own bags down the stairs. Not a problem for us, but possibly could be if you pack heavy bags. It's too bad, because it is a nice apartment and the host was obviously trying to create a nice experience for the visitor.

Location is perfect, in the citycentre but very quiet. Helpfull an kind host.

Everything was awesome, it surpassed our expectations! Peter, the host was so helpfull and gave us all the informations. The apartment was cosy, warm and equipped with everything. I highly recommend this place!

Our hosts, Peter and his wife were wonderful and made us feel welcome right from our first meeting. They had many recommendations for local sights and eateries. Nothing was a problem and always happy to help.

Świetna lokalizacja i niesamowici gospodarze, którzy byli bardzo zaangażowani w to, abyśmy mieli wspaniałe doświadczenie w Budapeszcie. Udało im się!

The location is very good, the flat is very well equipped and comfortable, there is air conditioning Peter is a friendly host, at your service

The room on the street side can be noisy if you open the window, esp on Saturday evening. But closed it is very well insolated.

The property is well equipped. Nothing is missing. All is ordered with a lot of attention and taste.
