The Witch of Grič Studio Apartments

The apartment itself was beautifully decorated and very comfortable for a 3 night stay. It was located on a bustling street of bars and restaurants with very close links to public transport and had some basic amenities in the kitchen area.

Unfortunately we had an ant infestation on the first night and woke up to hundreds of ants all over the apartment. We notified the property owners on Booking.com and received a response that they would leave ant spray and a brush next to our door for us to clear them up and that it was expected during warm weather. We asked if someone wanted to see the apartment/photos to show the extent of the ants but they would not come and wouldn’t provide a WhatsApp number to send photos. We were told as it was a self-serviced apartment that unless it was an emergency any issues were to be managed by us. This was quite disappointing but something to bear in mind when booking. As the apartment is located above & between two bars it can be a little noisy at night if there is football on the TV’s for example. Although, we didn’t find this a huge problem.

Great location and quiet even though it's right on one of the main streets in the old town, lovely and modern apartment in the top floor. the decor is beautiful and has been really well thought out. Having the tv with Netflix was a nice bonus.

There was no blind in the bedroom which led to lack of sleep due to the room being bright. There was also no handrail on any of the stairs in the apartment or on the hall up to the apartment. It's quite steep, especially with luggage. The main door didn't have a number on it and is in the middle of seating area of a bar, so maybe just putting a door number on would help finding it.

Goran, the landlord was very helpful in all aspects. Very polite and was ready to solve even the simplest problem.The location is excellent 2-3 minutes from the market dolac and the main square: Jelasic .Also almost all the important tram lines acheable re within 5 minutes walk. I strongly recommend the Witch of Gric appartment!
